Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo follows in Wes Welker's footsteps

Well, if Camarillo continues to produce, he might follow Welker's footsteps all the way to Foxboro.

LOL - exactly what I was thinking.

I hope so - I have seen Camarillo and sometimes you can't tell the two apart between him and Welker - He is a very good athlete and one of the reasons for the Dolphins rise up from the ashes.

Ya, they are so similar...

Both have similar limitations in terms of top end speed... and both of their games revolve around similar attributes. Their games revolve around quickness in and out of their breaks, precise route running, ability to understand where the holes in the defenses will be, and extremely consistent hands.

There are only a couple of differences between the 2. Camarillo has 4 inches on Welker and can play well on the outside... and Welker is a tad shiftier than Camarillo.

Oh, and Welker is white, and Camarillo is Mexican... lol

But don't forget, Fin, that the Patriots love rescuing stranded Dolphins.

That's exactly what I was thinking reading the Pam Beach Post yesterday. He's like Welker's brother (Mexican brother I guess lol) Being said, I can't see the Dolphins letting two of the same guys go to an enemy. That's why they locked him up and I'll sure he'll be a fin for a good number of years. Hes really turned into Welker though, any compliments you have for Welker you could say the same for him.

But, but, but AQUA told us time and again that the Phins had no use for a WR like Welker. I'm so confused...

There is NO WAY Camarillo comes to Foxboro now. Miami no longer has ******s running their team. There is actually a couple of competent people running the team now. Parcells would not trade his best players to Belichick.

Oh and... Welker's better.

I think the Dolphins just gave him a 3yr extension so don't expect him in Foxboro anytime soon unless its in teal and green.

Ya, we just signed him this week to a 3 year, 6mil extension...

HELL of a deal! 2 million a year? All day!

***GASP!!!*** I'm the first to wonder on-record if he's related to Rich Camarillo?!?! What kind of Patriots fan board is this?!?! (then again, I didn't know that Rich is now a nominee for the PFHoF)

Because all them there Mexicans are related to each other, eh Wax?

Outside of jersey number and NFL employment, the two have no similarities. Camarillo is a guy that still doesn't run perfect routes but manages pretty good seperation and catches everything thrown at him. He works the perimeter and zone coverages underneath pretty well.

Wes is one of the better slot guys to ever play the game, runs outstanding routes underneath coverages and runs a beatiful drag route over the middle against man coverage.

Just because each guy has light skin and wears 83 isn't a reason to compare.

Well, both of them did go undrafted, and then signed initially with San Diego, and then got released, and moved to Miami, and led their teams in receptions, and then they came to New England and did even better. Well, in Camarillo's case, he will in 2012.
