Bold statements all. You joined in what, April 2008? You must be freakin' Nostradamus with your "long range" assessments.
Jackson is a bust
He was injured the prior season and virtually anybody would conclude he was hanging by a thread this year. Fans hoped he would show up, but apparently not enough for Belichick.
Maroney is injury prone
He has had injuries since he's been with the team. I would guess a few injuries/missed games meets the definition of injury prone. Dazzle the crowd with something a little less obvious like "NFL games are played in stadiums." Favre has had plenty of injuries over his career. Is he injury prone as well? What's your point?
Seymour is on the back nine of his career
What's his age in comparison to the average age of an NFL player's retirement age? He has been in the NFL since 2001. If you are stating the obvious point his career is half done as the expression typically implies, you are offering brilliant insight based on careful analysis of two obvious points. If you are claiming he is done as well, offer some observations supporting your otherwise brilliant conclusion. That is the sort of thing that spurs discussion and not a battery of insults.
If you wonder why you receive the hostility, I direct your attention to your OP.
It was not a one game thing. THEY SUCK! The homers can chug the kool-aid, but you all know the truth. No pressure on the qb, terrible pass coverage, and blown assignments all over the place.
The defense had a bad first quarter but recovered, making the overall performance respectable. Search the media if you think anyone who disagrees with you is a "homer." I have heard "the defense can be great" opined on this board, but nothing saying the "defense is great" (that would be fairly ridiculous in this short season given mistakes in the last two games). Defense means the unit, not individual players. I think it can be great, but it is not there yet.
Offer facts, statistics, or basic football theory supporting your position and addressing the facts, statistics, or basic football theory provided in opposition to your views in posts and you may actually be viewed as something other than the village idiot spouting ridiculous statements. You may not find agreement, but you may find intelligent dialogue.
