Will wait to judge Matt Cassel till after today

Interested in to see how he plays today.. Im going with this season with a open mind.. We have nothing to lose now, but Im sure the last 2 games were not a good barmometer to judge Matt Cassel there were positves and negatives but its not fair to judge him..... The game after the bye when he has had a month now to be the starter will be the test to see if he can become the guy to lead the team in 08....

I think you have to give him a few more weeks. IT's only his 4th game starting since high school. And he wasn't that good in high school either, so he probably has a lot of learning to do.

they've had plenty of time to prepare and the pats always come on strong after a bad loss like that... if he sucks today he has some problems.

who are you trying to convince? Is this self-help analysis? Cassell sucks, he will suck on most game days and he'll have an occaisonal good game. In a few years he wil be a sports agent hack or similar. He's buying time for O'connell and nothing more.

I would be shocked if they Patriots did not play well today. They had a week to prepare and the 49ers are not that good anyway. Cassel has worked extra with Moss. I think they both have big games. The defense will deside how far this team goes not the offense.

You are right. The Pats key players are not exactly young.

It is time to get a serviceable QB like Garcia, Kitna, etc and at least have somewhat of a chance of winning some games.
