I think I've finally figured it out. When Bill Belichick was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s one of the biggest musicals on Broadway was My Fair Lady, later made into a movie. Either consciously or subconsciously, BB has identified with Prof. Henry Higgins, who attempted to transform a poor ****ney flower girl into a woman he could pass off as a high society lady at a royal ball. Fast forward forty years, Bill is Prof. Higgins, Matt Cassell, eight year understudy, is Eliza Doolittle. Goal: to pass Cassell off as an NFL starting quarterback. In My Fair Lady, Higgins won his bet; the jury is still out on whether Prof. Belichick can succeed. Word of caution: one other Hollywood movie featured a highly educated man who played God - Frankenstein.

Frankenstein isn't a musical broadway shows nearly always have happy endings

Listen. Accept this fact I'm about to share with you, it will eliminate some of your delusions. BB did not transform Brady. BB cannot transform Cassell. BB is simply just not good enough. Contrary to the most common belief, Brady made BB. Brady took him under his greatness and showed him success. If boy hoodie was irrelevant for God knows how long (even with a natural all pro talent in Bledsoe), what make you think he can become significant again with Cassell. Its simple as this, No Brady or another extremely good QB, BB is a joke. Let that sink through. I guarantee it will make you more rationalize instead of delusionalized.

I get it. And you identified strongly with "Norman, Is That You?"

So, was BB a joke against the Jets two weeks ago? YOU are the joke, Menlo. Please go away.

"quaterback" in one thread ... "loverly" here ... good God is this a grade school level forum?

If I ever smoked some magic stuff to come up with that useless Op's post I'd still never have the cahones to submit post.

"Loverly" is from the lyrics of one of the songs in My Fair Lady. Eliza is a poor girl who doesn't have a command of proper English.

I thought there would be a few replies of this type. Can't have any fun in this forum!

Common ground, cannot believe that this forum has descended to these depths...

That is a load of Pygmalion!

This thread is a little unorthadox, but better than more threads about how despicable fans are for booing or leaving the stadium... or how Matt Cassel sucks and we should call John Elway immediately.

I think BB's gameplanning (and that of all of the coaches), can only put the players in the best possible position to win. Whether or not Matt Cassel can secure the wins will still depend on his talent.

Brady didn't make BB, but BB didn't make Brady either. They are both good and that has been a big part of why we have been so successful of the years.
