The New England Patriots had won an NFL record 21 straight regular season games. That means that nobody had ever won that many in a row before. It also means that nobody had ever won 22 in a row before. In fact, the team with the second longest regular season winning streak in NFL history is ALSO the Patriots, from just a couple of years back. The game that broke that streak was also a beatdown of the Patriots.

The assclowns who thought it was appropriate to boo were booing a team that had done what no team in NFL history had ever done before, and was finally seeing its streak snapped. They were classless idiots who don't deserve even the lowliest team to call 'theirs', never mind the best franchise in recent NFL history.

The fans were booing Kraft, because they figured out that the real Patriots weren't even on the field, because he was hosting a movie with a bunch of bad football actors.

Every single person arguing in favor of booing has made the claim that they were booing that day's effort and nothing else. It isn't ridiculous to present that claim, nor is it reasonable to think that because neither of us can prove anything your opinion must be right.

You said it last night, and you're welcome to go find the post. As for booing the day's effort, how does that excuse anything? What's next? "I booed the first pitch of the game because it was a ball and I didn't think he gave enough effort to make it a strike"? Most people, even the idiots, boo based upon a totality of the circumstances.

What's not reasonable is a bunch of idiots booing a team that had been "up" enough to win 21 straight games because they finally had a game where there were unable to pull out the victory. 21 straight wins, a bloody NFL record, should have earned them the 'right' to have a clunker without myopic, idiotic fans going off on them. Instead, many of the fans decided to act like assclowns, and if it had been another team that did it, there would be about 100% agreement with the notion that those fans were, indeed, assclowns.

As I said to somebody else earlier in the day, it's obvious that there's a line here. If you're talking about booing in the first quarter after a couple of failed drives, then of course booing is inappropriate.

I don't think booing is inappropriate based on past accomplishments by the team if the team is playing the worst football in two years. You might disagree, but just because you call people names and feel more loyal to the team than me doesn't make your opinion better or more valid than mine. This is a subjective question, and I think we've reached the end of the debate.

Did you know that one of those unbeaten teams is the Broncos, who are only unbeaten because of a blatant error which took a win away from the Chargers? Without that huge blunder, the league would already be down to 5 unbeaten teams and only 4 teams that had gotten to 3-0.

Now, taking the above, coupling it with the slow starts of the Colts and Chargers, where exactly is this requirement of perfection?

When you're at home, yell and boo to your heart's content. My issue with the booing is not that people boo. My issue is time and place, specifically at the stadium during this particular game. When your son sets the school record for most "A" grades in a row and then tosses in an "F" after a huge shakeup at home, you don't beat his ass. You might talk with him to see what's wrong, or you might just let it go because he's earned the opportunity to make amends, but why on earth would you punish him or evince displeasure?

JMarr, my 'talent' is fine. The fact that you concede my 'former' objectivity should have you rethinking your position rather than ranting about mine. My objectivity doesn't go away just because you don't agree with it. I love the way you toss the Brady quote in as if that's supposed to get me to chuck my position, when one of Brady's teammates says essentially the opposite.

Again, re-think your position rather than ranting about mine. One should always have people to serve as touchstones in any area of interest. If I ever find myself agreeing with Nancy Pelosi, for example, I immediately re-check the facts because I can be about 99.9888888888888345% sure that I'm wrong.
