Joyner: Pats would be wise not to overlook Dolphins

Re: WEEI: Pats would be wise not to overlook Dolphins

The problem is, if (god forbid) we did lose to the Dolphins, the perception would be that the Pats were arrogant and didn't take the Fins seriously. In reality (which is often absent in sports reporting), teams can win football games against superior teams simply on the basis of making more plays, or making more BIG plays.

I don't think we overlooked the Giants in the Super Bowl, but I do think we were the better team and still lost. That's football.

Re: WEEI: Pats would be wise not to overlook Dolphins

True. And I think there's no doubt the Dolphins are improved, with two stud running backs and a decent quarterback to manage the game. They'll eventually be seriously competitive, but it'll take a while.

Not sure you can say that when they also purged their best WR (who has 3 TD's through week 2 in SD...), their stud...RB's are averaging 2.8, and they bid adieu to the two pro bowl caliber defenders who anchored what was a solid D for a decade. And they won't have a decent QB to manage their games for long unless they make some serious strides at the LOS...6 sacks through 2 games extrapolates to Noodle benched for a rookie if not on IR by week 10.

OK. The Dolphins are hopeless and definitely should be overlooked tomorrow ...

You must lash out with every limb, like the octopus who plays the drums

"Love Stinks.... Yeah.. Yeah...." etc.

I doubt the patriots are overlooking the Dolphins, but as a fan, I am thinking about the Chargers right now.

Before I die, I will pay a lot in taxes.

Including the investment opportunities and interest... you don't even know, it's absolutely disgusting.

Re: WEEI: Pats would be wise not to overlook Dolphins

Never overlook anyone, almost every coach knows to not break that rule.

The title is terrible, but the article is one of the best I've read in a while.

Hmm …

R. Brown 17-113, 6.6 avg., long gain 62
R. Williams 16-98, 6.1 avg., long gain 28

C. Pennington 17-20, 226, no sacks

etc. ...
