Wes's only complaint about Matt

cassel throws hard every pass every game for the rest of his first nfl season as a starter, will his arm give out on us?

If that were the case he would need to rethink his career

Wait a second.. Wes MUST be wrong. There is no way Cassel is throwing it too hard. Some of the Vets on this board INSIST, no, DEMAND, that you believe that Cassel's arm is weak and that he can't make the long throws.

He already did. Thought it down from throwing a ball at top speed about 16,200 times a year.

Better a strong arm than a Noodle Arm.

Since when is having a strong arm a bad thing for a QB?

You can learn to put less ona ball, it's a little harder to develop a stronger arm.

BUT, passes should be zipped in. Floaters given a DB time to react.

Wes's comment was tongue in cheek. No way does he want Cassel to lob the ball to him on a crossing route. You want the ball caught and tucked away before the safety whacks you.

He might have a cannon, but it wasn't evident during the one deep pass he threw to Moss. That was a sure TD.

It's true that Cassel underthrew him. But I think the problem was that Cassel did not have time to set and throw because Dave Thomas did a shi**ty job blocked the Jets DE who was about to level Cassel. Matt was able to get the ball off and Moss could still have caught it.

It isn't. If having a QB whose arm is too strong is your biggest problem you ain't got big problems. But Matt does need to learn you don't throw a 5 yard pass with as much umph as a 40 yard pass.
