We have a very realistic shot of winning this one...

24 little hours... :D

As indicated in my "Predict the Score" entry and my post earlier in this threat, I too clearly believed they had a realistic chance at winning this one.

That being said, I would have never guessed the *way* they won this one. The DL, particularly Andre Carter, played AWESOME. That pick-6 by Ninkovich was an amazing read by him. The secondary, full of UDFAs, held up incredibly well and looked like they belonged in the league. On the other side of the ball, I was convinced the offense had to run the ball, but instead did most of their damage from the no-huddle and those stacked receiver sets which helped loosen the man-coverage that has been giving them problems as of late*.

Great win. That drive after the Jets closed to within 7 on the first play of the 4th quarter was an all-time back-breaker: 7 minutes of chewed clock, letting the D rest, and restoring the 14pt lead. The pick-6 a minute later was just icing on the cake.

* I said after the Steelers game that I hope every opponent going forward tries to do that man-coverage D to prep the Pats for it come January and it's looking like the Pats are finding solutions.

Regards,
Chris
