Assistant Special Teams coach.

We're endlessly told that Brad Seely is a great coach, but maybe he could benefit from a little help.

I have thought our STs have been overated for the past 3 years. It looked like a step in the right direction last year when some of the young guys started to play bigger role (Andrews, Mays, Woods, Alexander, etc.).

Davis would make an excellent addition to the staff.

It's of course very hard to sort out what's talent and what's coaching, but my best guess for the recent effectiveness of the coaching is:

Placekicking -- very good
Rest of the FG unit -- so-so (those early-season blocks)
Punting -- good or better than that
Punt coverage -- good not great
Kickoff coverage -- good not great
FG defense -- hard to judge; I suspect results are overwhelmingly a matter of talent/execution/luck (and what Seymour's health and motor are like that week)
Kick returns -- very good -- Faulk, Bethel, and Maroney all put up stellar results at various points
Punt returns/defense -- hard to judge, but probably pretty good

Overall, a good job, but one that can be improved upon.
