And can be likely blamed on the instability of the defense last year:

TURNOVERS.

All it takes is a quick look back to the 2001 or 2003 games to see all the forced fumbles and interceptions there were. In 2005, such a lack of them certainly had something to do with losing in the playoffs.

I think TURNOVERS DID MAKE the diff absolutely (The NE TOs)..and it would be NICE to get back to that..but..the injuries played a BIG factor...But I agree that would help..
 
Definitely a conspicuous absence of turnovers and big plays.
Lack of Bruschi and Harrison had a lot to do with it.
