Will this not put the Jets in cap space hell if they cut him ?

What could quite possibly be Darrelle Revis’ $17 million farewell tour with the Jets added another rough chapter in Sunday’s 22-17 loss to the Patriots at MetLife Stadium.
Revis surrendered two touchdowns in the loss, including the game-winner in the form of an 8-yard touchdown pass caught by Malcolm Mitchell inside the two-minute warning. …
“Zero coverage. We had to protect inside, there’s no middle safety in the field,” Revis said, describing the play. “Protecting inside and they ran out routes.” …
Revis blamed the touchdown on the scheme, the Patriots running the exact play to beat it, and the pass rush failing to reach Brady.
“That’s the weak spot in the defense is the out routes,” Revis said. “I could have played outside technique but I’m leaving the middle of the field open. Definitely on that play the rush is supposed to get there.”
All this revis declining talk has really increased my respect for Champ "was-a-touchback" Bailey.
Revis' entire 2016 salary of 17 Million dollars (said with the Dr. Evil accent) is guaranteed, so cutting him this year would make absolutely no sense.
His 2017 salary is down as follows:
2 million dollar roster bonus
$333,333 prorated part of his signing bonus
13 millon dollar salary of which 6 million is guaranteed.
So his total cap number next year is 15,333,333, the Jets can save 9 million in real money by cutting him before his roster bonus is due (usually the beginning of the league year) and (2 mil roster bonus and 7 mil in salary.
Revis would still count as 8 million against their cap (as opposed to 15,333,333 if they don't cut him).
So yes, there is some decent financial and cap advantages to the Jets if they cut him next year.
"If he had picked up the piece of debris on that play, I could have made a better play on that out route. That confetti really tripped me up on both of those TD's."Why sign a guy who blames everyone but himself for the mistakes he's made?
Darrelle Revis exposed by Tom Brady and Patriots in Jets’ loss
I bet if a janitor was in the vicinity of that interview he would have blamed him too.
