Hear me out.
Ok, so a few years ago our D was bad/injured and they needed help badly. So BB put Troy in on D and Troy did quite well. Actually if I recall, he actually had a very important interception/stripped ball against SD in the playoffs. I could be wrong, I'm a little wasted at the moment, but I think I recall him making a huge play on D in that game. Maybe it was a regular season game, I can't recall.
Anyways, I was thinking with how bad our D is right now maybe we should try some new tactics on D. Perhaps like, Moss on the D as a Safety or something... Assuming Moss is amiable to the idea of course which is not a given.
The reason I'm thinking this is because a lot of us (including me) are worried about Brandon Marshall torching us this week, which is almost a given at this point if our D does not improve. And I could be wrong, but I don't believe we have anyone of his size on our D that could go up against him. BUT, Moss could... and could probably shut him down or at least limit him.
I also think that another benefit of this would be that Moss would feel more useful, and it would perhaps, hopefully make Moss happier being able to be bigger part of the team, and at the same time show the staff that Moss should be resigned. Again though, this all depends on if Moss is even willing to consider playing a secondary role.
And yes, I realize that the con of this could be that Moss might be too tired to play on O to be effective. But I think it might be worth considering, because lets face it, our D is scary bad. They try hard and you have to give them A for effort, but effort doesn't always cut it.
Anyways, let the bullets fly, I'm sure I'll get ripped by some for even suggesting and thinking this lol.
