Sorry for the delay.
A few things:
Raleigh Webb is a WR the same way that Matthew Slater is a WR.
Okay.
When did Jack Jones become a "Slot Corner"? Jack Jones is 1/4" shorter than Ty Law was.
Ty Law weighed 200 pounds leaving college. Jack Jones weighed 177 pounds. Law also ran sub 4.4 forties, Jones more like 4.5.
Josh Uche is Pass-Rush Specialist. I think he's growing into being a better OLB, but he's not there yet. Not sure why you have him listed at MLB.
I think he's becoming a complete LB, his size has me listing him as ILB. He plays outside, but he can play anywhere.
He needs to stay healthy and continue to improve potential weaknesses out in space. But mostly he needs to stay healthy.
Why do you have lines through DeMarcus Mitchell and Ronnie Perkins?
I already said why.
Addington is a UFA after the season.
Who?
I honestly believe the brought Mills in to take over from DMac. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats sign a big name CB this off-season.
Me neither, or they could draft two. One to play CB and one to play FS.
Mills getting hurt was the most potentially debilitating injury the defense dealt with this season after Barmore.
OT - I totally agree that they need a LT and a Swing Tackle to go with Trent Brown and Connor McDermott.
I don't consider Connor McDermott, other than a backup swing tackle role. But he's not untalented, he's a back of the roster type guy. The problem is the they have too many back of the end roster guys and not enough front of the roster guys.
They need another stud, and another, they should find two or more in the draft or free agency.
CB - A CB over 6'0 would be nice. You don't typically find good ones like that outside the 1st round of the draft. Patrick Peterson will be available on a short deal and he's still playing a ton of snaps despite his age. There are several 5'11 starters who are going to be FAs at the end of the year. I expect only 2 to be franchised in Peters and Bradberry. Jamel Dean from the Bucs could be someone the Pats target. At 6'2 he can cover taller receivers.
They'll have double digit draft picks after compensatory picks are allotted. Plus they currently have the 4th most cap space with the 4th most players under contract for 2023. They're in really really good shape. They've handled the cap well.
LB - the Pats us Nickel and Dime packages more than anyone else, using the 4-3 Under as their base. That takes a LB off the field in favor of the additional safety in Dugger. They do need a Faster LB who can cover RBs/TEs but can also hold up against the run to put on the field opposite Bentley. People have mentioned Tremaine Edmunds from Buffalo. Wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo put the Transition tag on him. the only LB I see getting tagged is Quincy Williams of the Jets.
Everybody uses nickel base, it's the NFL standard now.
Agreed, they can add a lot to the interior size and speed of this defense.
RB - There are going to be a BUNCH of good RBs available. David Montgomery, Pollard, Jacobs, Barkley, Jamaal Williams (Lions). I would expect the Pats to add a Vet who can run and catch the ball. Someone who can push Stevenson, Strong, and Harris, but be the guy to step in if there is an injury.
They shouldn't overpay on RB. If they can bring Harris back at a reasonable deal that's a good signing.
I hope they don't bring Bryant back. Almost nothing good seems to happen when he's on the field.
Nope.
