If BB wanted him why wouldnt he have signed him weeks ago, why wait till now when he'd have no time to learn the playbook?

He is only a red zone threat at this point. The Pats have plenty of those with Gronk, Lloyd, and Hernandez. I would rather trade for James Jones.

WR depth is pathetic like 2009. But I know theres still the tight ends and probably Bill is cooking something up like a trade or a signing.

Assuming he doesn't shoot himself in the foot for a whole season... is a big assumption. LOL. Naah, I don't see him fitting in on the Pats and he has been available for a while.

Do you mean Stone hands Jones who caught 69% of his passes last year?
FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | James Jones

A 66% or higher completion percentage is huge. Branch didnt have that and neither did Gaffney.

He was the 17th ranked WR in the NFL per Football Outsiders. Definitely an upgrade over Branch and Gaffney. Check out the stats for 2011 WRs and see how low on the totem pole Branch was.

I think Gaffney and/or D Branch will be back, injuries and more time to evaluate the young players could be at play.

Given the O we run there isn't a vet we will bring that will contribute right away, that is the reality.

Everyone's banging down the door for him. I hope we hurry with an offer. Jesus, Mary and Joseph - I site them because they're all better than Plax.

Pats took a flyer on him only as a favor to his agent! I hear Miami is in need a of a WR
