Well put! In the general "rules of thumb" in the NFL an arguement could be made that the price for Burgess was too high. For the Pats though who were one player away from having that one glaring hole, the deal makes sense. Burgess could easily be that 3 down linebacker opposite Thomas that could upset the Colt's no huddle. No, he's not going to be an every game 3 down guy, but if someone has to get stuck on the field facing a no huddle, I'm comfortable with him.
Why? I thought OLB was the last hole in our lineup?
If he is the last piece to the puzzle and we fixed the last issue, that ought to be worth quite a bit.
