carolina moved him a round a lot last year.....he was decent in the red zone, went in motion a light, lined up inside quite a bit
what are the odds he could take on a few of the move TE routes?
granted, he doesn't have TE size, can't truly take on that role.....but could take over some of those routes?
not real keen on his physicality.....but he's known as a good downfield blocker.....
At this point, i would find it weird if he said anything else
His agent is saying he has not signed.
While the rest of the league is looking on, the Patriots and Broncos are trading body blows:
I got Talib!
- Yeah, well, I got Revis!
Good for you. I got Ward.
- Great! Let me introduce you to Mr. Browner.
Well, I may have lost Decker, but I got Sanders!
- Cool. I kept Edelman and Brought in Lafell.
Ok, but trump card. I've got Ware!
- This isn't over yet, Hee Haw. I'll have the last laugh this year.
Disagree. I wanted neither. We know BB's WR drafting is questionable, but we weren't required to sign an outside WR in FA; drafting one would have done just as good. I would've rather added Owen Daniels than any of the FA WRs left (other than J Jones, who is probably asking for >$15M).The real question is Lafell or Sanders which was a better option?
I watch the Panthers as they are the local team here, when I'm not watching my Pats. He looks like a good receiver with all the characteristics until you see his hands. Drops a ton of passes! You can almost count on him to have a drop or 2 each game. I'm not excited as you expect that from a 1st year wide out, not after a few years in a system...he'll be like the Kyle Arrington of the Offense where he looks like he's got all the tools but he will really look like a tool instead. I hope I'm wrong though. At this point, I think the Pats overpaid for what they will get.
Dobson looks like he can become a #1 Wide Receiver. If you have several players who are rated as #2 receivers, what difference does it make if you don't have a clear cut #1? Gronk is the clear cut 1. It doesn't matter to me that he's a Tight End because he can do it all in the run and passing games. He's the WR3 to counter Sanders. Both are "Meh" and both will probably be overpaid.
The Patriots don't have a WR1, so they're going to try to win with a running game, a bunch of WR2s and WR3s, and Gronk.
I hope this doesn't stop Britt from coming in for his look.
Although the definition of "dropped pass" is inexact, the link I posted earlier says he had 6 last year and 3 the year before.Drops a ton of passes! You can almost count on him to have a drop or 2 each game
How many WRs did we carry last year? I wonder who gets cut this year?
Dobson and Boyce were our recent 2nd and 4th round picks so obviously they stay
Edelman stays obviously
No way we cut Amendola, right?
Thompkins made some big plays last season. Might be on the bubble though. I feel like he has some great potential though
Harrison is interesting. Maybe put him on the practice squad again this year?
LaFell just signed - Will he be this year's Michael Jenkins? (eventually cut)
Does he have an indoor lacrosse game at the Y?
