sign #1 CB
Sign Pass-Rushing DT
Sign #3 DE
Sign #4 LB
that completely fixes the Defense. And Deus I don't want to hear Gregory complaints until you watch his tape.
Yes, we love the 2 TE sets, but it's difficult to find elite ones. Also TEs take awhile to develop. I can't name one team right now that can play a dangerous 2 TE set (maybe cincy, but i'm not a huge Gresham fan).
I would like at Zack Miller if he's released (maybe because of salary) to compliment Gronk
This is a "trenches" off season. DE, OG and DT all the way. I don't care about any other positions, except maybe Strong Safety because Rodney Harrison told me so.
WR needs to be a move made through FA, be it Sanders, Nicks, Maclin, Tate, etc. They should not be drafting a day one or two pick at WR. That needs to go to SS, DL, and OL. Possibly TE as well depending on what the Pats think of guys like Finley, Chandler, Pitta, and Pettigrew. Other than some of the moves to free up cap space, this would only be the most logical offseason plan to someone heavily under the influence of a narcotic.
We will see, I don't understand the difference between signing a WR or drafted one. Why can't we just sign players on the DLine? What is I logical part of the plan? This fills all there needs. The Roster could look something like this
QB: Brady, Mallet
RB: Ridley, FA RB, Vereen, Bolden, Develin
X WR: Dobson, Harrison, Slater
Z WR: Robinson, Thomkins
Slot WR: Amendola, Boyce, Moe
TE: Gronk, 3rd rounder, 5th rounder
LT: Solder
LG: Mankins, Kline
C: Connolly, Cave
RG: 2nd rounder
RT: Volmer, Cannon
RDE: Jones, FA DE
NT: Siliga, Vellano
DT: FA DT, Armstead, Jones
LDE: Ninko, Buchanan,Bequette
SLB: Collins, FA LB
MLB: Hightower, 4th rounder
WLB: Mayo, Beauharnus
CB: FA CB, Green
CB: Dennard, Ryan
Slot CB: Arrington
FS: McCourty, Harmon
SS: Gregory, Wilson, Ebner
Yup. Dobson will become a stud, when healthy I expect Amendola to produce like first game, Boyce Harrison Moe will develop.
Aside from trying to understand your grammar, I don't understand what Dobson's development have to do with it being okay to release Edelman? It's not just that Dobson and Edelman play two very different positions in the offense, but Amendola's health is far from being a sure thing.
We really do need to keep Edelman.

WR's, by and large, don't come straight out of the draft ready to contribute. There's usually a maturation process except for a few notable exceptions and those exceptions usually end up being mentioned as among the best in the league at that position. FA's, on the other hand, are still in the league because they have matured and contributed. With what the Pats spent at WR last year in the draft, a veteran is the way to go.
I don't disagree with you but Robinson played in Bill O'Briens offense and has said it is very similar to NE.
The tackle starters and depth according to this logical approach to the Patriots offseason will be the downfall of the D in 2014 if the team plans on taking that approach. There is not one dynamic playmaker capable of regularly collapsing the pocket or stuffing inside runs.
Siliga stuffs inside runs. The FA could do the pocket pushing. I don't think you realize how good Siliga is, he dominated the Broncos Guard Vaquez and gave all the teams he played trouble.
