Siliga would play NT.

So, you're replacing Edelman with yet another rookie. So, we will have Danny and all the kids.

Yup. Dobson will become a stud, when healthy I expect Amendola to produce like first game, Boyce Harrison Moe will develop. Allen Robinson has played in the Patriots offense with O'Brien. Rookie TE, Gronk on PUP. running game will be deadly with Volmer back, 2nd round guard on right side.

this seems to be the most illogical plan. Wilfork can and will most likey restructure saving money Talib and Edelman are the most important people to resign let most everyone else hit the market then pick the best players they can get

Wilfork would have to take a serious pay cut. Edelman is good, but Robinson would be better. I expect Talib back.

This is all in fun and it's a long off-season, but trying to plan for the Pats from the outside is flat out impossible this year.

Pretty much everyone who matters is injured -- Wilfork and Gronk are on IR with injuries from which they may not fully recover, Talib and Amendola have serious injury issues that may be chronic. Add in Kelly, Armstead and Wilson as others whose future is quite uncertain for us. (I'm assuming the injuries to Mayo and Vollmer are relatively straightforward).

Everything depends on how you rate the chances of those players coming back at full fitness. The Pats will have some idea of that by now -- better, at least, than we do. In the best case, if Wilfork, Gronk, Talib, Amendola, Kelly and Armstead were at full fitness, the priority would be to sign Talib and cross your fingers that Amendola can do what Edelman did. If that's not going to be the case -- and it's pretty clear it won't be -- then you have to make adjustments according to your judgement of who will and won't be there.

No first-round WR. Not needed, won't happen.

Just my opinion, but if we draft a receiver in the first round and a guard in the second round, that will be a major mistake, especially with all the depth in this years draft on the defensive side of the ball and the need for a tight end on the offensive side . In fact, other than drafting a running back that early, I don't think there could be a worse draft day scenario for the Pats.

We need to get more athletic on the defensive side, drafting along the defensive line and adding a big hitting safety. Of course we need to keep Talib as well!!!

Robinson played in a Patriot offense at Penn St, he would fit them to much to pass up, in this scenario I have the Patriots drafting Offensive players and Signing defensively. Big hitting saftey ughhhhhh secondary was an amazing unit last year. BB loves Gregory. Wilsonand Harmon are hard hitting

I pretty much agree but like any other draft would not pass on the WR if the right one was sitting there when they pick. If after extensive scouting they believe Marquise Lee is going to be Reggie Wayne, or Mike Evans is going to be Vincent Jackson, and they end up available then they should take them. However that probably will not happen and I would most likely take a TE if one of he top 3 were on the board when they pick.

We already have Gronk. Do we need a day 1 TE? AH basically played WR. In this plan I have them drafted a TE in the 3rd round. Robinson, played under O'Brien, basically playing in a Pats offense

Do you play fantasy football?

Given the way in which the Patriots use their Tight Ends, I dare say Belichick values elite Tight Ends over elite Wide Receivers.

I don't deny the Patriots need Dobson and Thompkins to demonstrate they can consistently stretch the field and create separation but it's my belief that a couple of bears tacked on to the end of the line offers far more options for the Patriots than taking a WR in round 1 of the draft.

The O.P. has to be trolling.

OP, defense is the key IMO. Brady will be fine, we just need gronk and a defense that gets stops in the big games at key times.

Did people not read this part?
sign #1 CB
Sign Pass-Rushing DT
Sign #3 DE
Sign #4 LB
that completely fixes the Defense. And Deus I don't want to hear Gregory complaints until you watch his tape.

Yes, we love the 2 TE sets, but it's difficult to find elite ones. Also TEs take awhile to develop. I can't name one team right now that can play a dangerous 2 TE set (maybe cincy, but i'm not a huge Gresham fan).

I would like at Zack Miller if he's released (maybe because of salary) to compliment Gronk
