Vince knows his window is very short. He will want to be paid, but he also wants to compete for a championship. I don't think the Giants are going to be a competitor.
EDIT: The only way I see the Broncos not in play is because they have so many other free agents to deal with themselves. But if they can get Vince relatively cheap, they definitely will be in play.
unless the broncos give him an offer he can't refuse (in which case, they would simply resign pot roast), I don't see wilfork going there for short money as he speaks fondly of his home here and will likely choose something more conducive for his home life......btw, wilfork is exactly what the giants need
EDIT: wilfork also does not necessarily match what wade phillips likes to do
He just said he has plenty of gas left in the tank.I think he retires.
What a perfect storybook way for Vince to end a terrific career. SuperBowl winner as a rookie. Played every game, hit every performance incentive, and won another SuperBowl ring in his final season 12 years later. It doesn't get much better than that in the NFL!
Everybody loves Vince!
He also said he is going to sit back and think about what he wants to do next, with the most important thing being his family. He just said he has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Even after him twice publicly saying he intends on playing in 2015?I think he retires.
his letter would suggest otherwise.I think he retires.
Did you actually just dislike a post that I made almost a month ago just because I disliked this one? Your post was stupid. Get over it.The more I think about it, Browner unfortunately might be next. They wouldn't want to keep him and have to let Revis go.
On to the football field, what caliber of player do we think we are losing?
Since 2011 to now, Wilfork's gone from an All-Pro to what, a solid starter?
And before everyone starts the DT panic, IMO BB likes Siliga alot. He will get a chance at replacing Vince IMO. Underrated player.
Depth is definitely a need, but I wouldn't be shocked if Siliga-Easley emerge as a solid duo.
Twice?Even after him twice publicly saying he intends on playing in 2015?
Thats not how I read it. I read it as he could still play, not that he is going to. We'll see.his letter would suggest otherwise.
