Just got easier.

Saints Ravens Super Bowl is a certainty

Re: Ryan Grant out for season; Bob Sanders out indefinitely

Grant is a dime a dozen and the Colts have learned to play without Sanders. Not huge losses, apart from the depth aspect. On an unrelated GB note, my goodness Clay Matthews is a great player.

Jenkins, Pace, Posluzney, Reed, McNeil, Jackson, Rice, Sanders, Grant...lots of players the Pats likely won't be facing on their schedule.

Sanders is made of glass (sorry, had to say it :))

From Peter King's mailbag today:

THIS ACTUALLY IS NOT A DUMB IDEA. "In all honesty, if I were Bill Polian, I would simply deactivate Bob Sanders for the rest of the regular season and save him for the playoffs. Highly unorthodox, obviously, but so is a player who is as dynamic as Sanders being hurt more often than he is healthy. He literally is never OK, let alone 100 percent. As the Colts have demonstrated the ability time and again to navigate the regular season and secure good playoff seeding without 21, why not just save him for when the games mean the most?''

(King) - I keep trying to think of reasons why this is a stupid idea. And I have come to the conclusion that I can't. It's at least an interesting idea to think about and discuss internally as an organization

Mark Sanchez's poor outing; Chiefs' savvy drafting - Peter King - SI.com

Two things I think of: The Colts may have more of an uphill battle this year than usual; and how do you tell someone else that no matter how well you play all year, you'll sit out the playoffs so Sanders can play?

Least surprising injury note: Sanders out.

I think as of last season he has officially played in less games than he has not played due to injury. He's a train wreck. Great player when healthy but he never is healthy.

Don't forget that Texans lost Connor F***ing Barwin for the season aswell.

I think the Texans are playoff bound, and we may meet them. I'm sorry to report that everyone's draft binkie Connor Barwin tore up a knee in the Texans victory over the Clots, and is done for the year.:(

I thought I saw Derrick Burgess in a Raven's uniform, in the pasting of the Jest and the overthrow of the August Superbowl Victors. :)
