This article doesn't make me happy:

" Devin McCourty
Like Maxwell, McCourty hits the free-agent market in the prime of his career. With 77 starts, McCourty is one of the best safeties in the league.

Two comparable deals for McCourty are the contracts handed out to William Moore in 2013 by the Atlanta Falcons, and the four-year deal the Miami Dolphins gave Reshad Jones that same offseason.

Moore received $30 million ($14 million guaranteed) with an average of $4 million. Jones, on the other hand, got $15 million guaranteed, with an average yearly cap hit of $7 million, but his deal is worth $28 million.

McCourty might demand slightly more, but not by much.

So what's it going to cost?
The Eagles must spend on their secondary. They need two starting corners, a starting safety, and backups at both spots. The need for multiple pieces might make them shy away from signing both McCourty and Maxwell.

If they do go after both, it is going to cost them, but not as much as you might think. After talking to a number of agents (none of which are associated with Maxwell or McCourty), here is a look at what the Eagles might have to spend to land both players."

"McCourty:
Length: 4 years
Total value: $31 million (seventh among safeties)
Guaranteed: $16 million (sixth among safeties)
Yearly average: $7.75 million (sixth among safeties)"
