THey had doubts about Taylor playing 3-4 OLB and he's done already under Saban. If people have their doubts about Peppers fitting in, the same can be said about Burgess.

I had concerns about paying Peppers $17 MIL, not about his abiity.
Don't know about Burgess. Don't really know much about him.
His Career Stats:
Derrick Burgess
Sack totals career- 8 years- 47.0 Sacks
Highest sacks total for a season- 2005- 16 sacks
Hes proven as a DE but can he make the switch to OLB. BB knows something we dont so if we get him well BB will mold him!! This guy would be a short term solution because hes already 30.
i'm not sure why he only had 2.5 sacks last year. I hope that we don't give up too much for this guy. If we have a SB ring in this season, it's worth it.
Maybe because he is being double team, as do the Raiders have any other pass rushers??
And I think the last Raiders who came to us have done ok
didn't the raiders just tie up a ton of money in this guy or am I thinking of someone else on defense?

One name that has recently come up in trade speculation is defensive end Derrick Burgess, who the Raiders are rumored to be shopping. Burgess becomes a free agent after the 2009 season so it would make sense that Oakland would trade him now in order to gain compensation. If they were able to trade him, they would free up $3.5 million in cap space, which isn’t a huge amount but it would help.
