If you think that ESPN and the NYT won't spin this information into new evidence of cheating, you are kidding yourself. If you don't think Specter will use this to keep his crusade going, you are naive.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

Walsh was there in an official capacity and was not hiding the fact that he was employed by the Patriots.

Telling his employers what he saw with his own two eyes while he was there is not against the rules, and anyone who says it is will just appear foolish.

This is not illegal, and it's also Brian Daboll's problem. I believe he can be reached through the JETS.

You've been over reacting a lot lately. Chill.

He was standing there wearing Patriots gear, for heaven sakes! If anything, the stupid Rams are to blame.

last time i checked there's nothing against NFL rules for scouting. walsh was there without a video tape and relayed what he saw. If St Louis is stupid enough not to ask him to leave (even though he had pats gear), then that's their problem.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

    OVER?

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
    Otter: Germans?
    Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
    [thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
    [runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the **** happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
    D-Day: Let's do it.
    Bluto: LET'S DO IT!

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

The Doofus' spokesman just stated while they are looking into this, no matter the outcome it will not bring further punishmant. Reiss addressed it in his blog.
Walsh was DRESSED in PATS GEAR at the time. Laughable.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

Daboll wasn't his employer. Or his boss. Dabol was a lowly second year coaching assistant at that juncture. He also happens to be a guy who was passed over when the OC job opened up and went to McDaniels. Which is why he went to work for Eric, as his QB's coach, because he was desperate to get ahead and he was apparently lapped/blocked here.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

ESPN is saying he "fed" the Patriots info from the walk-through.

Marshall Faulk lined up on a kickoff, like he's never done that before.

A tight end rolled out, never seen that formation.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

If this thing is not over, Goodell needs to go because he stirs thing up. The longer this thing goes, the more he screws up. I can't believe that he threw BB and Pats reputation under his bus.

As a Pats fan, i feel that our coach and team have been USED for 8 months. WTF.???

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

Overracting? Doubtful! There have been several media sources who have been spinning everything to make the Patriots look guilty of something. Whether it is convicting of them of Matt Walsh's videotape of the walkthrough or accusing the Patriots of slandering Walsh to destroy his credibility because they have the goods to writing an article that the rules committee basically spend all their time making rules to stop the Patriots from cheating.

Sorry, there is a concerted effort for some areas of the media to bury the Patriots. It isn't paranoia either. Even Stacey James of the Patriots called the NYT on that aspect.

    Re: It isn't over unfortunately.

About the only one who will be in trouble is Daboll if he was questioned as a former employee and he failed to mention this. Of course Daboll may remember the exchange differently, or not at all...

Well, I am glad that I am overracting that ESPN would spin this as further evidence of cheating. :bricks:

WAIT! That's great inside information! Why wasn't Walsh promoted to pro scout after that?:bricks:
