A lot of people are giving Pete crap for the call to pass the ball. They are wrong and should listen to BB's comment about it on his interview with Dale and Holley the other day.
I totally agree. I like Pete Carroll much more now that I ever did. I always thought he was totally annoying and his style really doesn't do much for me, but he is a great coach. And I listened to BB and just could not agree more with him. He seems to like and respect Pete and that's all I need to hear. Pete didn't take shots at us about formations or deflated footballs the way some other clowns might have. Remember after Spygate how we played the Chargers who were then coached by the illustrious Norv Turner and he came in and made sure the play books were guarded top secret or something so we couldn't come in and steal them? Remember how stunned we all were? Such a ***** move and Carroll didn't do anything like that and he could have, just to be a jerk.
As for "the Call", BB is right. It took most thinking people a day or two to really process that situation and I believe our coaching staff were the only people who really had a handle on it at the time. What a waste of my time to listen to sport media nobodies who never coached a day in ether life go on and on about how OBVIOUS it was and how bad it was handled (on both sides! I got to hear about how BB had "got away with one" when he didn't call TO. Like he forgot or something. Belichick, who has coached in more Superbowls than I can even remember. Ugh! The arrogance and stupidity of sports media is the real story, but of course, not sexy enough.)
