The team without its NFL MVP,
playing in the 3rd best division in the NFL,
tied with a team that spent near 150mil in the offseason
...The New England Patriots
The Steelers are clearly #1. Yet they just lost to the Colts who also beat us last week. So that's 3 teams better than us.
*Transitive Property: if Y > Z and X > Y, then X > Z.
Lol?
You assume the transitive property* for football, which is NEVER correct. You also say the Steelers are #1 in football, despite having a loss. If the Pats are worse than the teams that beat them, why aren't the Steelers worse than the teams they have lost against?
Oh... right. Because they can't exist.
*Transitive Property: if Y > Z and X > Y, then X > Z.
It's either the Jets or Pats, I will let you know on Fri..
How do you figure? We may not even be the best in our division. The Miami Dolphins embarrassed us not too long ago. They've gone on to prove they belong in this discussion IMO.
The Titans are clearly #1, Steelers #2. Yet Pitt just lost to the Colts who also beat us last week. So that's 4 teams better than us. Did we forget about the Chargers beatdown?
While yes Matt Cassel is improving, I'm no more confident in our chances come January than I was 2 weeks ago. Sorry to be a Debby Downer, but the reality is we still have an uphill battle.
How is Pittsburgh clearly 2 when they are 6-3 like us? They lost to the Colts at home, we lost in their house, only because of a stupid penalty.
If you elimnate us from being 2nd best because 3 teams beat us, then everyone else gets eliminated too.
After the Titans, I think there's a whole host of teams that would play each other pretty even, but there's some teams that match up better against us than others.
