Looked good and moved the pile at times. No happy feet in the backfield.
Sorry for the immediate follow-up post, but you've gotta be ****ing me! If you're a Pats fan, you just had an experience where you woke up on Christmas day or your birthday and got every present you asked for. You got a tremendously talented LB who stuffs the run and covers any receiver, not just TEs, but WRs as well! You just got a tall, lanky WR who can run like the wind without any effort while the DB pursuers look like they can't pump their little legs fast enough while fading away and not keeping up. On top of all that, you got a slot receiver who has the guts, intelligence, and quickness to get open and read the QB like he's been here for 4 years.OK, maybe I'm too harsh then, I'll give him some more chances before I throw in the towel.
I wasn't expecting much of two-punch attack in the beginning of the season, but now, yeah... they look like they could share the load a lot more than I thought they would, and prove to be a strong combination.Maroney and Morris make a good team, and when the emphasis on the running game is in order, I'm confident that they'll excel.
I think too many of his runs were telegraphed by the offensive formation. When you line up with only 1 WR on the field, the defense has a pretty good idea that Maroney is getting the ball.
Started well, not so great at the end. I think he is a good back that can not be a full time number one.
I personally think Maroney is too streaky. If you look at his numbers, he has a lot of 10 yard plus runs. With that said, he gets stuffed for no or little gain too often. The numbers average out in the end but I am always unsure what Maroney is going to show up.
