Really though, a 6'7 255 LB TE that runs well, has solid hands, and is close athletically to Eifert/Ertz....how the hell did Sudfeld go undrafted? Injury prone is no excuse, a player like that is worth a 5th-7th round flier.
I'm sure Linda has gotten used to BB calling out GRONK's name in his sleep. I guess she'll just have to get used to him calling out Zach's name too. :eyebrows:
I am so surprised no one took a flyer on this guy.....Now we can trade the HOOman for ...a 7th ....imagine when he and gronk and ...our young receivers mature.....its going to be a shooting gallery out there !!
Even if Gronk was active game 1 and our (not to be mentioned former TE) was playing, I think we would have kept him. Given the current situation he's a lock.
No way he'd every make it through waivers to land on PC and I'm sure he can be of some help on special teams.
Looking at the big picture, it also helps to recruit future UDFAs to sign with the team, even at talent-laden positions as TE appeared to be when he signed. If they know they will get a fair shot at making the 53 man roster regardless of pedigree it may make them more likely to sign....or if they get cut there's always Jacksonville to pick them up....
I'm on the bus. I had a major panic moment when he had trouble getting up after the TD. For him to do that to me when I didn't even know who he was 6 months ago, well, that's a pretty major impression, I'd say.
