Amazing how Incognito has suddenly improved is play AFTER his bullying scandal. From I what I remember, the terms tough and dirty was what you expected to here in a discussion of Incognito's skills, not skilled and effective. When he played on the Dolphins he was never considered a plus OLman. He's the opitome of a JAG with baggage. Now he's a JAG with even more baggage.Incognito situation is pretty complicated. I think he got screwed by Martin because he was an easy guy to scapegoat because people would believe it because of incognito's past. He could be a pretty nice upgrade if he can behave. He's out of the same mold as Mankins. Would love to have another tough son of a ***** on that line. A lot of it depends on what you believe happened and didn't happen with Incognito's story. It's possible he did get his **** together in Miami and would have been fine if Martin didn't screw him(if Martin was in the wrong that is).
I can't understand how a savvy fan base such as ours could even conceive of a world where adding Ricky Incognito would be an upgrade over what we have, including Josh Kline. Is Incognito another example of our "everybody is better than what we have" syndrome?, or is it simply a case of the "shiny new toy" syndrome. Either way its not our finest moment.
