It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I mentioned a few weeks ago that the media was on the trail of a "story-line" and they weren't going to let go. Whatever they can find to feed the story-line, they'll use. Other stuff gets downplayed or ignored. That's the way it goes in most of the media now, and the sports media is some of the worst in the country. Just terrible.
Screw them all. If you don't want to win every single play, go find something else to do with your life. I like Brady's quote, and I LOVE Gay's.
The NFL is the pansiest league I've ever seen. Did the NBA go nuts when the Bulls were blowing everyone out by 20-30 every night in the 90s? Do teams moan and cry if the Sox keep hitting home runs when they're up by 10? But suddenly the NFL is a bunch of Miss Manners clucking over the poor, fragile psyches of the teams the Patriots play. What a freaking joke. I've seen youth leagues that had a stronger mentality than the bunch of Nancys in the NFL right now. Just pathetic.
I'm actually a little surprised (and embarrased) by what Brady and Gay said. I'm very shocked Brady said "we wanna kill teams" , that was so un-Brady like. Nobody in any sport has ever said anything like that, they may think it, but they never say it. I think Belichick should talk to Brady and Gay, and tellem both to STFU. I'm sorry, I'm the biggest Pat's fan out there, but there is no need to say the things both of them are saying. Gay is another story, how dare he say the opponent's D shouldn't be paid, just because they gave up 56 doesn't mean they weren't trying. It just turns out that Buffalo just isn't nearly as talented as the Pats. Flame away fellas (and ladies), but this is just how I feel. Out of context or not, I heard both of them say these words.
Well, you San Francisco folks must have really hated Conan's thoughts on victory then. May I suggest figure skating as a more appropriate sports venue? Whoops, my bad. Forgot about that Tonya Harding thing. No, not the porn film, the kneecap thing.
I agree. At this point, isn't what Brady said kind of obvious? And now that he's said it, all of the sudden other teams will be motivated? Give me a break.

Since the beginning of the season I have been saying ESPN is becoming the National Enquirer of Sports

Actually, I'm originally from NYC, and I'm back in NYC. I've been a Patriot's fan since 1975 (was a big Mack Herron fan, I'll give kudo's to any NEW Pat's fan who knows his number), and will stay a Pat's fan until the day I die. I do thank you for your brilliant response, really added a lot to the discussion.

No, you are not. I mean, you may be sorry, but you are not the biggest Pats fan out there unless you weigh 500 pounds.I'm actually a little surprised (and embarrased) by what Brady and Gay said. "Coming up next on <insert one of SportsCenter, PTI, NFL Live, Outside the Lines, NFL Countdown>...the guys discuss <insert one of "who can beat the Pats", "the Pats running up the scores", "Moss vs. TO">. Later, we look at <insert story not used above>."
I LOVE Gay's.

You're just another guy willing to lie to trash the Pats. "Nobody in any sport has ever said" they wanted to go out there and dominate other teams. I'd ask how you pould possibly know that, but I'm sure the truth of the statement isn't important to you. Make up whatever you want to shed the Pats in a bad light. You have a lot of company. Except of course that they don't claim to be "the biggest Pats fan out there."
Gay and Brady were both taken out of context. Non-Pats fans will not care about that, and will accept the ESPN tailored quotes. That is to be expected. For all I know Mercury Morris was taken out of context, but I don't care to check it out. That's because I'm not a Dolphins fan, any more than you are a Pats fan.
You are entitled to you opinion about Brady and the Patriots. As I said, it is shared by just about everyone south and west of Hartford, CT. Just please stop pretending about being "the biggest Pats fan out there." Unless of course, you really do weigh 500 pounds.
People forget the insane drive that makes Brady SO good. He has said numerous times that he competes full bore at EVERYTHING, board games, whatever. He's the offensive complement to the maniacle Full Tilt, Full Time Teddy Bruschi. Brady's honesty is a shock to an audience accustomed to trite responses.
honestly you need to listen to the whole interview and the questions that were asked. When the hosts keep asking about running up the score and why brady is in the game he responded. Also the complete quote sounds much different that what espn portrays. Same with Gay. He was asked what he thinks when opposing defensive players say we are running up the score. His response was directed at them .ESPN decided it was directed at the bills.
