How cute, I've got another stalker!
And yet we continue to see a ongoing pattern of posters taking umbrage at your aggressive posting style by responding in kind.
.. to which (of course) you contribute absolutely nothing to this very mysterious phenomenon.
And in before you respond with another of your "nipping at my heels" attempts to show just how disinterested your disdain for the common poster really is.
*ruff* *ruff*
I find the ankle biters and stalkers amusing, actually, because they ignore, or just don't grasp, the irony of attacking me for supposedly attacking others. Most of them don't last long, anyway.
Oh, I'll be here, don't worry. So long as you continue making idiotic posts, Admin Willing, I'll be here.
I look forward to smearing your face in the success of this team in the near future. :rocker:
Actually, you have your facts wrong yet again.
Amendola's deal is a 2/3 with only 10 million guaranteed compared to Welker's 12.
Yes. It is so subjective to say that Edelman outperformed Welker in 9 or 10 training camp sessions when Edelman was catching everything and Welker was dropping one a session..That's so subjective
It's clear McDaniels WANTED Edelman to produce more the first few games
He forced the ball to him, called specific plays for him
Only when it failed to produce big points, was Welker brought back to save the offense for the year

pretty sad if this is how it happened. Wish they had simply not made an offer in FA and said they are moving on . Wouldve been cleaner.
"Per reporter Mike Reiss, Welker didn't seriously consider the offer because "the club isn't viewed as a contender." According to Reiss, talks with the Patriots reached a "breaking point" just before Tuesday's official start of free agency. The Pats offered a two-year, $10 million deal that could be worth up to $16 million through incentives, but Welker turned it down because he believed the sweeteners would be "extremely difficult to reach." The whole article is worth a read, and can be found at the link. "

ya sooooooooo cant blame belicheck for that one
Mike Reiss said:The breaking point came Tuesday in the mid-afternoon before the official start of free agency, when the Patriots and Welker's representatives halted contract talks. The team's offer, a two-year, $10 million pact with incentives that could have pushed it as high as $16 million but in the eyes of Welker would be extremely difficult to reach, wasn't accepted.
At that point, Welker and his representatives intensified their pursuit of other offers, and it helped that some groundwork had previously been laid with the Broncos. Likewise, the Patriots turned their attention to Amendola, who was their top choice if things didn't work out with Welker (and in the eyes of some on the other side of the negotiating table their top choice all along).
Things came together quickly with the Patriots and Amendola on a five-year, $31 million deal with $10 million guaranteed, and at that point, there was no looking back for the team. While the Patriots would have been pleased if Welker accepted their proposal -- owner Robert Kraft said Monday that he hoped Welker would retire as a Patriot -- the possibility of losing him and Amendola was deemed too risky, so they moved close to locking in the deal with Amendola not long after free agency began Tuesday.

Team offers incentive laden contract opposed to player wanting more guaranteed money. This happens all the time. It's sad to see Wes go but it's hardly worth getting worked up over like some people have been. How about you quote the actual ESPN article instead of a hodgepodge from Rotoworld..

There are some other interesting tidbits in there as well..

This is crazy. Welker wanted to come back to the Patriots, and the Patriots wanted to go in a different direction. If that isn't crystal clear to anyone who has read about the basic facts here, then I don't know what will convince them. There is no "other story" or ulterior motive. Had Welker agreed to an extreme sweetheart deal, none of this stuff would even be talked about, there would be no "ego" or "disrespect" nonsense, and everyone would have said it was a rosy relationship all along and this was just posturing. But the media loves to paint stories in black-and-white based on the ultimate outcome of a situation by then projecting that onto past events and making them fit.
It's obvious the Patriots do not value Welker as highly as we thought, and for that matter, neither do most NFL teams. If anyone on here thought coming into today that the best Welker could do was 2/12 then you are lying. So, I wish that people would stop acting like they already have "solved" this case and attribute it to arrogance, misevaluation of talent, bad negotiating, or whatever you think it is. Just remember that 24 hours ago ALL OF US would have laughed at the prospect of Welker accepting anything close to 2/12 with any team out there.
And in terms of people really thinking that the Patriots screwed this up and lost Welker in a poorly played game of chicken, you must have missed the announcement made hours after Welker signed with Denver. The Amendola deal was obviously in the works for a very long time and, without any question, this is the reason the Pats became less and less excited about Wes as the answer.
I will miss Welker and appreciate everything he gave to the Pats, but before we crown horse face and the forehead as SB champs, let's remember that the Pats could have signed Welker to the same contract but passed. Who do you think has better inside information about Welker- the Broncos or Patriots?
