I agree. Both the field and Casserly comments were very unBelichick. Thing is, Casserly has been right since he left the Redskins, notably Mario Williams and numerous non-Pats stories, mostly league business, he's broken on CBS. I think it's just a personal issue with Belichick.
Great!!! spygate, now ribgate
My impression from listening to the BB interview was that he was speaking only in terms of Casserly's knowledge of what goes on within the Pats organization, especially after he said that Casserly never even attends any practices or games, so how would he be in a position to know anything about the Pats. However, I'm guessing that he doesn't mind if others interpret it more broadly, especially Casserly. Still, it is always a little surprising when BB lets some snark fly because it's pretty rare, but I get a kick out of it!
Well said...after listening to the interview myself, this pretty much puts in prospective. BB did give casserly credit for at least putting his (casserly) name on the story.
By the way, what's with the "Bill Belichick Bashers" tag? Not one person has bashed Belichick to this point in the thread.
Saw my Orthopedic Doctor, he is the team doctor for the Providence Bruins and Brown University... aside from the gloom and doom about Welker, said no way Brady could be cleared or play with three broken ribs...
For what it's worth, someone much closer to the team, Shalise Manza Young, reported about an hour after Casserly's report that Brady did have broken ribs, and that he didn't break them in Miami, but rather broke them in the preseason and re-aggravated them in Week 2 @ NYJ. So this isn't just a Casserly report. Bill Simmons also reported he had broken ribs (albeit he said he broke them in Miami), and our own mcsully posted in early December that Brady had broken ribs, from an MGH source.
Do not disagree, but this well thought of Doctor said no way, cracked or bruised maybe... that is all. All am offering is a point of information, from someone who knows more than I...
