I was glad to see Butler contributing immediately after being active instead of Wheatley.
Butler will be a stud. Bank on it.
I agree. While he wasn't my choice at 34, I was really surprised that Belichick risked waiting until 41.

In the words of Peter Tosh: Yes I.
It's not very often you get a player with his hips, footwork, acceleration, hand technique, and ball skills in the frame that he has. It's also not very often you get a player like that at 41, especially in a weak draft year. I think it's going to be between him and Vollmer when we look at this draft three years from now and evaluate who was the best player to come out of this one.
By the way, I got the chance to review some of the Jets/ Houston game....our homie was on the field. He looked exceptional.
Um, while I assumed Butler would see playing time regardless, it might be worth noting that Wheatley was inactive with a knee injury.I know that many of your don't think we should judge rookie performances.

Gary Kubiak reportedly was pleased with Barwin, despite the overall poor performance by Houston.
Wilson: Texans pleased with Cushing, Barwin | National Football Post
I agree about Butler and Vollmer being future studs. I'm not sure yet about Brace - he could be a nice widebody, or a real difference maker, I'm not sure which. Chung will be fine, but I would have preferred Barwin.
