8 years on top of the AFCE

While NE has not won the AFCE 8 years in a row, 2008 marks the 8th consecutive year that NE has end the season with the top win-loss in the division. A couple of those years were ties and we didn't get into the playoffs. But still in 8 years nobody has had a better record in the division.

Yeah, instead of watching a playoff game next week I'll just print out the last 8 seasons standings and stare at them blankly.

I mean, it's quite an accomplishment, but today it feels like the thinnest of all silver linings.

yeah, i get you being in the playoffs would be better.

but still it is a pretty amazing feat. it not like we missed the playoffs cause the team went 5-11.
