I wanna get this in here before any Colts fans start to gloat. The Colts did it most recently in '04.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Pats aren't doing anything we haven't done before.
Except play defense...
Or go 7-0. Or do it while having three Lombardi's. Or with the best quarterback in the league. Or with the best receiver in the league.
Do I really have to continue?
Two more wins and we'll be the only team(i think) to start 7-0 is 3 straight seasons, check your facts.
We got the best active QB and Receiver. Can Moss get 140+ catches in a season? Harrison has done it.
Matter of fact we've gone 5-0 in 4 or the last 5 seasons. We've gone 13-0 and 10-0 in back to back seasons. Can the Pats do that?

Asshat, the Colts were 4-2 through seven weeks in '04. That's what I was talking about. So, while "the best active wide receiver and quarterback" were compiling their bunches of stats in '04 and losing games, the real best wide receiver and quarterback tandem (I speak of Brady and Moss) are doing it in winning contests.
Moss doesn't have to catch 140 plus passes in a season to prove his greatness. He's outgained Harrison in every receiving category this year, is more talented, and has done an equal amount with less talent around him throughout his career, as opposed to Harrison, his HOF quarterback, HOF running back (Faulk), really good RB (James), and great offensive line. Moss is a better receiver, much more of an impact player, and most everyone (except for those pesky Colts fans) will agree.
I don't care how many regular season wins the Colts have. You know why? 'Cause they have only one trophy to show for it.
Pretty sure Brady will have the best year ever by a QB.
Colts played way tougher teams and the only lost i can remember the Colts have in the first seven weeks of 04 was against the Pats which could have easily been won if James didn't fumble twice on the goal line, then the liquored up kicked missed an FG to send it to overtime.
Also if you didn't realize Manning didn't catch fire till mid season if you remember, everyone was talking a bout Daunte Culpepper breaking the record not Peyton. That's what makes the record even better is that Manning didn't start the season throwing 5 and 6 TD's a game(except for the GB game). Manning had 41 after 11 games and Manning became the first player in league history to throw at least four touchdowns in five consecutive games. 41 in 10 games and 6 in the last 5. He sat out a lot of 4th quarters because we were killing everyone. Not only that James was leading the league in rushing for most of the year.
That's why the 04' colts are better than the Pats now, not only did we have 3 killer receivers James still got his 1500 yard season and 51 catches for 500 yards. We were a better all around offense.
Rice was around HOF'ers also so does he suck also? You Pats fans kill me. You don't know greatness unless he's in a Pats uniform. Marvin was the only good receiver we had and he still broke the record for catches in a season. Moss could never do that, even with Brady.
How can you compare them this year when we spread the ball around. Moss was the only person getting catches until ya'll played the Browns. I read on this board how the fans thought Stallworth wasn't really contributing to the team, so i know ya'll was forcing the ball to Moss. Welker is on my fantasy team and he hasn't been doing nothing until the last 2 games.
Marvin's career > Moss's career
Pretty sure Brady will have the best year ever by a QB.
Unless you're going to actually take two seconds to check your "recollections" I don't feel you have any business to even attempt to discredit what anyone else has said. And I didn't say Harrison wasn't great, but continue to build straw man arguments. Personally, Moss has done more with less, just as Brady has, which I feel is the true test of a player's greatness. Brady, Moss, and Manning have all been able to elevate the play of those around them. That is excellence.
Either you don't actually have Welker on your team, or you are a poor "owner" in your fantasy league, 'cause Welker started the season off with 20 catches in three games. Since then, he has brought his total on the season up to 47.
The Colts had one of the best offensive years ever in '04, and Manning had the best statistical season of a quarterback, ever. So far this year, the Pats are on pace to break nearly every offensive scoring record ever, including Brady. He's on a run of games to start a season that is unrivaled by anyone. Ever. Even better than Manning. We can compare the starts of the seasons, or even the "best seven game stretch of '04," but until the Pats have finished the offensive onslaught that is the 2007 season, the comparison starts and stops there.
Wait, Im sorry but the Colts of 04 was a better team then the Pats are now?
