INJURY UPDATE: Blount is done for the year. Will go to IR

Maybe it is time to bring back Jonas Gray -- maybe he learned to work hard by being cut twice in a season and is ready to go. Worst case is he ends up as the #3 running back behind Bolden and White.[/QUOTE

Bill and the front office have been slipping. They should've know this and had Jonas on a plane already. No, now the Jags signed him.

Blount on IR per source.

I don't think not working hard was Gray's issue here.

That is my concern too. With all the injuries, we are getting players back at the right time. Don't want to reinjure Edelman or Gronk again in week 16 or 17.
Right.

While I do not know what Blount's specific injury is, if its of the 6-8 week recovery time variety that is IR waters this time of year.

i think this does hurt us. we've now lost both RBs. even if it isn't 25 times a game, you want a back you can hand off to. i don't feel like bolden is that guy. makes us even more 1 dimensional. better hope edelman is good to go

Ball Force Trauma ....

Just does not sound as forceful as Blount Force Trauma.

This fu king sucks!!! While Blount certainly did not have a great year, that does not mean he would not have been incredibly valuable the last 3 games and playoffs.
I check this site earlier and see Easley is done for the year. Come back later in the day to find out Blount is done.

I will tell you this. That rotten carpet, they call a field in Houston, is a piece of ****e and should be banned forever. I hope we don't have to go back there to play for a long long time.

We need pittsburgh to win. It most likely mean we just have to win 2 out of 3 to get HFA

Blount is not irreplaceable but not sure who's really out there. Guys like bjge and Jonas gray both udfas have stepped in and have been little if any worse than Blount has been.

I really hope bolden is not the guy. He has not been good as a pure runner in a long time and is at 3.1 ypc this season compared to blounts 4.3. just too big of a dropoff there which was evident on sundays game as well. Good st-er and recieving option but if hes our lead runner were in trouble. hoping ball can prove a reliable option.

When it rains it pours.

With the way it's been going, I'm expecting more injuries.

Three more games to go.

Fingers crossed this is it with the damn injuries.

It's actually a brand new surface. If Houston wins the South, we may be back there next year. Not sure how they determine home/road between DEN and IND/HOU. Cinci will come here.

Sucks man, BlountForceTrauma was one of my favorites last year. Bit of a dip this year, but we could have used him going forward.

Just means White and Bolden need to pick up the slack. They can do it.

Brought to you by today's news and two glasses of Glenlivet. ;)

When is this going to stop ?The fact that this team is 11-2 with all these injuries is mind boggling, however I hope it isn't too much for us to overcome during the playoffs !

damn, two best rb's are out for the year. this ****s
injuries continue to mount

AFC South "winner" will be playing in Foxboro in 2016, while the Pats will be traveling to Denver again unless KC manages to steal the division away from them.

I admire your ability to think that far ahead in that much detail, but I have a hard time finding next season's potential game locations relevant when I'm wondering how the next three games are going to turn out.

None of us can have any idea what "next year" will bring, along a spectrum ranging from the potential for Brady's continued performance at such a high a level to other random injuries.

What we have now is this team, these opponents and this available roster for the Playoffs. That's all I can handle. I'll worry about where we play the AFC South winner and Denver when the time comes.

I know we were fortunate with barley any injuries last year so we were due this year, but this is just ridiculous.
