Don't fear the lolphins

Wow, the Dolphins are world-beaters. They destroyed the second-worst team in the league last year and the second-worst team in the league this year. WOW LOOK OUT GUYS.

There's also this note for some perspective from yesterday:

NFL Week 7 Winners and Losers: Panthers and Vikings Are Turning Up the Heat, But Texans Get Barbecued

At first glance, Ryan Tannehill’s 18-of-19, 282-yard, four-touchdown day looks like a monster performance, but dig a little bit and that changes quickly. The Dolphins threw for 296 yards (including a 14-yarder from Matt Moore) on 20 attempts for a gaudy 14.8 yards per throw, but 248 of those yards came after the catch. Miami averaged just 2.85 air yards per attempt, the smallest Week 7 figure in the league by nearly a yard and a half.
Don't get me wrong, the Dolphins are a solid team with an excellent DL. But people need to calm down until they can beat a team that isn't going to pick in the top 10 in the draft this year.

The Dolphins just beat two of the 5 worst teams in the NFL. I'm going to have to see them play a competitive game against a decent team before I can declare they've arrived.

Baby take my hand
We'll be able to fly!
(Don't fear the lolphins!)

Oh boy. Another "long-awaited" contender feels ready to take on the Pats

I respect the Dolphins for turning their team around so quickly. I really do. But whenever you kick another team's ass, you get a little full of yourself, and start to feel as though you can take on anybody. That seems to be the attitude this coach is trying to promote with the team.

"There's a storm coming, man, like coach Campbell says all the time," receiver Jarvis Landry said. "He took over as head coach, and that was one of the first things: 'There's a storm coming. We're going to wake these giants up.'

Oh okay.....let's see how far this rah-rah nonsense will take you on Thursday

Okay, let's see how far this rah-rah **** will take you

What kind of pep talk is THAT? Bad things happen to people who wake up giants.

Their new (interim) coach sure is a yahoo. He practically pushed Philbin out the door on the day he was fired.

I don't have a problem with pep talks. But you're right...These Dolphins need to be brought down to earth

I was expecting a low QBR, but lo and behold, it was a 94.2

I feel dirty for checking that on ESPNs site...

Campbell is actually doing a good job with what he has- he's tossed out those ridiculous complicated schemes they had, and are having them playing simple fundamental football, and at the same time kicking their asses and running a no-nonsense approach, which is the best anyone can do under those circumstances. However, Vernon was just fined for a low-hit on Mariota and Campbell didn't care (i.e., in other words he is encouraging that) so hopefully we'll watch out for that kind of play.

No way they are winning on Thursday, though.

Tom Brady is a bit of a step up from Marcus Mariotta and Brian Hoyer

Nah, just go ask our a Jets safety friend Gilchrist. Brady just like everyone else.

They got some good players. Division games never easy. Would be nice to have a blowout though

Should be a tight game, doubt Fins will win though. Sucks for us we didn't get the Fins before they turned it around.
