When Darelle Revis has his name announced Pats fans should give him a cheer.

He is one of the reasons we won last years super bowl after all. I don not blame him for leaving in the off season to go back to the team that drafted him. After the game starts and he is on the field then the obligation is over but before the game i think it be the right thing to do.

I know it won't happen probably but just my take.

He's a Jet now.

No way do I cheer someone that made these comments:

(The Patriots) have a history of doing stuff. You can't hide that.… Tom was there when they did that stuff in the past.

Revis added, "Stuff repeatedly happens [with the Patriots], then that's it. ... You got Spygate, you got this and that and everything else. Obviously in those situations in the past, they had the evidence."

I don't agree with this extreme either.

I wish he wouldn't be booed, because he doesn't deserve that, because the reason they'd boo him would be for dumb reasons.

On the other hand, a raucous cheer isn't exactly in order either I don't think. He DID sign with the Jets and he DID throw Brady under the bus in the offseason. That's not cheer-worthy stuff in my book.

What for? He definitely doesn't support us now (excluding when he went out to practice with our CBs during the off season). Definitely doesn't have Brady's back when it comes to deflategate, either. I won't boo him. But I won't cheer for him, either.

To be clear I didn't say a raucous cheer :p Just a nice little cheer.

He did say some stuff after leaving here I don't agree with and think there is some bad blood between him and the organization but i think it should not take away from what was done on the field as it seems like very minor tit for tat stuff to me.

Edit: Also I knew this thread would get dislikes and disagrees but it was a take i have not seen so thought should be out there. If I was going to the game I would clap as he leaves the tunnel. I would support anyone who does.

he has every right to leave for the money I don't blame him one bit but he should expect and deserves to be booed when he comes back. it's the nature of the beast.

Then again, these are the people that still boo Vinatieri 10 years later after he did nothing wrong but sign a huge contract so...it's to be expected.

Vinitieri ended on better terms than Revis I think though he was not seen as a mercenary. I would have certainly cheered him the first time he came back. Then proceed to boo him every time after :p

He's a jerk, couldn't keep his mouth shut when he left, I hope people at stadium exceptionally on this sunday take a page of the Eagles fan manual of conduct towards Mevis.

Revis has a history of saying stuff:
BB is a jerk, etc

I wouldn't boo him for leaving for more money. Every player has the right to maximize their earnings. I'd boo him because of the puke green uniform he wears coupled with the fact that he was an asshat when he was asked about Deflategate. **** him, **** that team, **** New Jersey, **** their fans, and **** their ownership.
