This does not make into my top 10 or 20 reasons to bash Roger Goodell, because in fact it's a correct decision.
When somebody quits a government job under a cloud of scandal saying that they resigned to avoid being an ongoing distraction, they're actually telling the truth. It's an incomplete truth, but it's the truth.
Similarly, Goodell skipping a game where the fans would have been so busy insulting him that football would have been overshadowed -- well, that's the correct decision.
Back in the mid 1970's, Howard Cozell did a nationally broadcast game of the Texas Rangers. Somehow, someone hacked the sound system and to a national audience stated: "Howard Cozell, Texas hates your guts!"
I'd love to see a variation of that next Thursday.
I might be out of line in my opinion, but one thing that hurts megalomaniac's is when you diminish them in public.
A simple sign saying "Goodell is a Coward" would pretty much destroy him on TV. When he sees it, and he will. Im going to see if our fans can do that also. Its simplistic, but it works.
