Not sure if anyone has read Chris Chase's "blogs", but I hope no one actually believes he is a serious sports writer. For some reason, USA today publishes his stuff on their website.

During Defamegate, Chase has had some really "special" viewpoints, going so far as to say multiple times that Brady's legacy is destroyed forever, and that by going to court, Brady has tarnished himself, even if he is innocent. He is a frequently apologist of Wells and Goodell, often contradicting himself multiple times in a desperate attempt to do anything possible to hate on Brady. He even wrote one post calling out "Pats fans" (who are usually the evil, catch-all target of his rants) for their cold reception of Chris Mortensen's backtracking a couple of weeks ago. In short, he's like an obnoxious, drunk Jets fan who goes on PFT to post in the comments section at least 30 times a day.

I would recommend just not even reading the posts, because you will probably just get a high blood pressure and want to find him and punch him in the face. He makes the NFL spin machine look ethical.

Anyway, Chris Chase is just a fanboy Patriots hater posing as as writer. The loser has a Facebook page, and after viewing it, there's a strong chance that he (1) has never had a girlfriend, (2) masturbates to the thought of Brady throwing an INT, and (3) is a huge Ravens fan and a sore loser like the rest of them. (4) Goes without saying he likely lives in his parents' basement.

https://www.facebook.com/thechrischase (just what I thought he'd look like; if you scroll down, you'll see he has an unhealthy obsession with Brady)

He was named by the Columbia Journalism Review as the Most Hated Blogger in America:

http://www.cjr.org/full_court_press/the_most_hated_blogger_in_amer.php

There is a webpage dedicated only to how much he sucks at writing:

http://www.cjr.org/full_court_press/the_most_hated_blogger_in_amer.php

And another site dedicated to firing him:

So basically you have the most infuriating, instigating, and idiotic blogger in America who eats, drinks, and breathes hatred of Tom Brady 24/7. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case they actually thought this guy might be a serious writer when they are floored by his stupidity and extreme bias.

So why then did you waste your time analyzing him so much?

Seriously ... there's money to be made as a sports media hater .... it's why they do it ... click - click - click.

I was curious as to why USA Today would employ a writer like this and clicked on a few pages to figure out who he is.

so, is this another one of those threads linking and spotlighting some guy I never heard of who I'm supposed to ignore?
Bingo, you posted what i was about to.

Listening to 98.5 right now and they are going over his piece today. This guy really is staking his claim as biggest Pats hater/troll.

His headline for his blog today

"Starting Brady in the preseason was dumber than deflategate"

And some of the stuff they were reading from it was absolutely asinine

-Brady starting was an act of defiance and message to the NFL
-BB was saying he thinks Brady will play Week 1
-No reason for him to take reps in the 1st preseason game. (No mention of Rodgers or any other starting QB that played during last night's games)

Then he went off on little tangent about BB.

He was exposed as a liar on Dennis and Calahan yesterday....pretty much looked like a complete fool. He got played by Calahan when he asked him if he read in the Wells Report where jastremaki testified that Brady didn't order him to deflate the balls and Chase said he did. When he got called out on the fact that that testimony didn't exist he responded like a 5year old and said something like "I'm sorry I'm not defending your quarterback hero!"

Before they even trapped him with the Wells report, he had resorted to hurling insults and spouting loaded rhetoric. We need to make a wearable device that informs people when they've reached that point.

I don't want to waste my time on him, but they read his latest column on the radio and he reallu makes Bart Hubbach, Gregg Doyel, and Bob Kravitz look like Rhoad Scholars.

He actually wrote an article about how stupid it was that the Pats started Brady last night because it was some kind of FU to the league. What were the Packers trying to say FU to by starting Aaron Rodgers? Maybe they were protesting the treatment of cows who produce cheese in Wisconsin.

Yea I'd say he's a Patriots's hater....what a joke of a writer this guy is...

"In another bit of defiance and hubris from the organization that has perfected those arts, the New England Patriots took the field Thursday night in their preseason opener with Tom Brady under center, in what was an obvious message to the NFL and the rest of the league — except it’s a message that’s hard to grasp, like much of the Pats’ decisions over the past seven months.

Was Belichick trying to say he thinks Brady will be playing Week 1 after Judge Berman overturns the four-game suspension?

Is he saying Jimmy Garoppolo doesn’t need the work against Green Bay’s first-team defense, which didn’t play far beyond the second series for Green Bay, if they played at all?

Or was just a big “take that [or use your imagination on the wording]” to the NFL, defiantly stating that New England won’t cater to the arbitrary whims of Roger Goodell’s judicial rulings, further rallying a base that not only thinks Brady did no wrong, but is actively seeking out water for him to walk upon?"

If he didn't start he'd would have written an article about the Pats signalling that they know Brady will probably loose in court.

Very true! Obviously this guy only has negative things to say about the Pats, I mean come on why did he need to put in his article about Brady walking on water? Another one to add to the "I can't stand" list. LOL

I don't know who this guy is and I don't care. Also, USA Today is still around? Am I at a hotel in the 90's?
I believe the pics IAN uses the forums are all from USA Today.

Chase used to write for Yahoo and his articles were notoriously poorly written to the point where he would get roasted in the comment section.

Yeah, D, C & Minehan eviscerated that guy to the point that I almost felt bad for him. In addition to being embarrassed by their trap, it was clear that he thought that Brady was questioned only by his own lawyers under oath, and seemed surprised when told that the NFL lawyers also questioned him in the appeal.

Then he was asked why he thought Brady was guilty and he said "Because he never really denied it". When told that Brady denied it in interviews, on Facebook and UNDER OATH he said "well, who cares that he denied it, that doesn't mean a thing"

Huh?

It was no surprise that he eventually got so flustered that he just started blurting out "I'm sorry that your golden boy quarterback is a cheater!"

I think he is absolutely right. No reason for Brady to play in that game. I have never understood why Brady plays so much in the preseason, but then again it's kind of hard disagreeing with BB.

what is he, an idiot? brady needs reps in case his suspension stands. think about it - if brady sits out the preseason he might not get a meaningful snap until October. we are all assuming (hoping) the suspension is overturned - but we don't know what will happen.
