I know butler makes the league minimum. How much do you think his play in the SB will be worth in endorsements. Will He get a lot of local endorsement deals? At the very least make sure the guy doesn't have to buy a drink for a while. haha

Unless he does something uncharacteristic, and I don't think he will, Butler will never, ever have to buy a beer in Boston.

Within 10 minutes of the end of the game, I think at least 12 posts in the Super Bowl game thread said something to the effect that he will never ever have to pay for a drink in Boston for the rest of his life.

So, it's pretty much a given.

IIRC a few of those posts weren't so much of the "he will never" as of the "he damn well better never" variety. :)

On a more serious note, though, Heath Evans has noted that the Patriots work with players to help them find endorsement deals and business opportunities. I imagine Butler will find a few here and there over the next couple of years. :)

I don't see huge advertisements in his future but maybe a dunkin ad or something. Perhaps a car dealership. He doesn't seem to have a most marketable personality but hell do fine...and it will last a long time.

If I were Geico I'd put him in a commercial like the Dikembe one where he blocks everything, except intercepting. Or like the Saltnpepa push it. If you're Malcolm Butler you intercept things, it's what you do. Him running around intercepting things seems like easy comedy.

Creative advertising agencies could do well with plays off the "interception" theme.
Hope the kid makes the bucks.

or "the butler did it".

and i'm sure there are quite a few places where he'll never have to buy a drink including san diego.

Too bad the NSA doesn't advertise.

Dress him up as Rhett Butler and let him deliver the line "Frankly my dear Beast Mode, I don't give a dyam.." as he walks off with the SB 49 hardware...
