The desire for a 2nd will decline to a 4th once the trade deadline is less than 24 hours away.

WR is not a need for this team. We're going to turn into the 2012 Patriots again. All offense and no defense.

He can be had for 3rd I bet by end of day today or tomorrow AM possibly.

VJax would be awesome.... IF we didn't have need at DE and LB

A team that made it to the AFCCG and nearly made it to the super bowl without Gronk? And being that team is bad why? Our current defense is already better than that seasons, so adding VJax would only make us more of a threat. We get Jones back late in the year, siligia is coming back soon and if Ayers and Branch work out, our defense and offense should be fine as long as we can stay healthy and not take anymore major hits.

No thanks, we have way too many holes need to fix. WR is not one of those

Are any beast DL or LBs
It's not the #1 need, or #2, or #3. But it is a need.
NE scored no more than 17 points in their last 3 playoff losses. NE was unable to get receivers open down field in any of these games...Wes W=deep threat. Defenses stacked the box because of the lack of threats. A legit deep stud would do the offense a world of good.

so... two days before the trade deadline, if there are no deals out there to address your biggest need, or your next biggest need, you say "We didn't fix #1 or #2, so we shouldn't address #3, #4, or #5" if a deal emerges?

My thoughts exactly. There are likely no pro bowler LB or DEs available, so why not get a stud WR?

Offense looking good. Vjax could put it over the top man. Ayers looked solid today too.

I see the points from both sides.

One concern is that VJax's current contract may prohibit him from coming here. He has 10 million dollar cap hits in 2014, 2015, and 2016. I'm not sure that Belichick would pull the trigger, but would be excited as a fan.

I'm almost positive you can address more than one need at once. ill double check though and get back to you on it.

Not sure we really need him because we are incredibly stacked at WR. To clarify, he would of course upgrade the offense but I am not sure if the jump would be big enough to warrant it.

Another upgrade at LB could be more interessting and necessary.

Stacked at wide out? Edelman and LaFell are the only two really good wide outs. Dobson, Tyms, and Dola haven't contributed much at all.

What's his contract? I'm not against giving up a draft pick but will this hurt our chances of Revis, DMC, Chandler, Hightower, etc. resigning in the next couple offseasons?

VJax has cap hits right around 10 million in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
