"“Video taping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent’s offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches’ booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game.”"

Can't be the rule because the Jets did the above, even stipulated to it, and the league quickly yet tersely said it was OK.
I think it's obvious that there's some obfustication going on here from Goodell's office. The motivation? Well supply your own.

the Jets probably cheated as well, but there was no hard evidence, just he said/she said from either side.

so, there could be no punishment.

Again, if you want me to respond in kind, please address me as Dr Moga.....I have earned that.

When I sign my legal name, it says M.D., please accord me that respect Hoss.

No, if I come to your office or see you in the hospital I would refer to you as "Doctor".

If you come here spouting off crap I will refer to you the name you earned:
"****".

So, are we going to have to explain spygate to fans of teams the Pats haven't played yet until we have played all 31 teams?

Why are we still bringing this up? The camera was confiscated 4 minutes into the first quarter of the Pats first game.

Jax fans, please get your facts straight before running your mouths about spygate. We've been dealing with it all season.

and you'll refer to me as judge or your honor, I'm quite certain I've earned it.... :)

Oh wait that's a movie. Back to the bickering. :D

fine, then you agree with me

No I don't, especially since you have a bad habit of taking quotes out of context, which doesn't speak to highly of your honesty.

So, if I admit to "cheating" then that's not good enough for the NFL? The Jets admitted it.

lol, no, they didn't. the Jets said they had permission, and the NFL said that if they have permission, it's ok to tape from where they were.

the Pats said they didn't.

hence, he said/she said.

but there is no evidence of any wrongdoing, and the Jets claim they had permission.

please stop making stuff up

Seriously, Can there be a user agreement that you must read to sign up? Take all the explanations of Spygate and make the morons who call the Pats cheaters because the media told them to actually have to form a rational opinion?

Or at the very least go a few pages back and read the explanations that were given to last weeks trolls. It's lather, rinse, repeat around here every week.

a team's permission doesn't make it ok to violate league rules. Just because the NFL said the Jets didn't cheat, you say they are cleared? Really? then since the NFL says the Patriots didn't cheat, you say they still did?

Which logic is it buddy?

the NFL has a crystal clear rule stating that taping from the sidelines is prohibited.

they also say that taping from the endzones is fine, provided the home team gives permission to do it.

get the difference?

I don't think that's true

Now you're making up rules that don't exist? Please show me where it says that in the rule book. I thought the rule stated a team must video tape from an enclosed location...no?

"Teams typically shoot coaching video from one upper 50-yard line location and one upper end zone location, but there are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams. No permission is needed from the league office.""
