your running out of bullets .that was lame lol

I heard there's a game in 2 days in case anyone wants to discuss that rather than trade 3rd grade jabs.

By the way, Troy palamalu didn't practice yesterday in the event you Pats fans need some hope.

Polumalu being out is big for the Pats. He's one of the most physical players on the Steelers defense and that's the one way you stop the Pats offense. With that said, I like the Steelers complex 3-4 with their fast and strong linebackers flying all over the field. Matt Light is going to have to get out of his slump if the Patriots want Brady to do what he wants with the football. When Brady gets pressure, he's a middle of the road quarterback (something like a 66 QB rating when under duress) so obviously that's the Steelers only chance.

I have to be honest. Troy hadn't been doing much. I don't know if he'd been playing hurt or not, but my feeling was that maybe he should have been deployed in a more traditional role. Carter is a good player (Quick and smart) and we have other playmakers. A. Smith is a bit of a ball hawk as well as a hitter. I imagine that after the "guarantee" they may go after him a little. I'm not too concerned though. As long as the safeties take care of the deep assignments and the LB's can get pressure, things will be alright.

So are you happy with the Steelers extending Polumalu or would you rather the team move on ala Joey Porter?

Agree with your assesments, it all comes down to the Steelers linebackers vs. the Patriots OL matchup. Hopefully Casey Hampton is his regular dominant self at DT and I hope Willie Parker goes Willis McGahee on them for 2 reasons. Reason A) I hate the Pats and want them to lose, reason B) I have Parker on my fantasy team and we're in the playoffs. :D

I definitely want Troy in Pittsburgh, I just think he'd be better served playing a more traditional role in that position (SS). I like him roaming and the unpredictability, but perhaps it should be toned down. He hasn't givin up any big plays or anything. He's been close on too many, whereas last year he wasn't close; he flat out made the play.

I'm not sure how our running game will fair. Honestly can see reasons for it to work and fail.I think Hines, the TE's and some West Coast third downs are what will work.

Gotta luv the pretentious folks making statements that are SO wrong.

I hear what you're saying. I felt the same way with a safety we've had since 2004 named Yeremiah Bell. He lays the wood but can struggle in some coverage situations (kind of like Polamalu.) I like play making safeties that are given freedom to sit back and roam, as you said, and I think that's where Polamalu is best suited as well.

I think the Steelers offense can do some serious damage to the Pats offense. It's impartive that they run the football early and often to tire out the seniors at LB for the Pats.

Hey on another note, what are you current feelings towards Joey Porter?

He likes to talk and I love the sh*t out of him. I have two jerseys on my wall in the "football" room: Greg Lloyd and his. There will be others, but I love defense and he NEVER disappointed me. I always felt confident knowing Joey was playing the game. I hate they he and the Dolphins are struggling this year. They should switch back to a 4-3, move Taylor back to end full time and put peazy at ROLB where he's comfortable.

I don't think Troy really struggles I just think maybe we could put him in better position to make plays and that's not necessarily all over the place. But listen, I am no **** LeBeau so.....

People, this inanity is what Aqua a.k.a. TW calls 'football talk'. Two 'so called' guys washing each others' balls spouting utter BS that has minimal semblance to fact. Joint misery. Gotta luv it!

Patswickedpissant: Didn't mommy ever teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say...? Or how about when two grown-ups are talking, you say "excuse me" like a good girl.
Had we been talking trash, you'd be one of the whiners complaining about it or yapping or both. This IS the visitors locker room. Deal with it.

Fine with me,
You two just GET A ROOM, no problem, it's Mass.

BTW - I looked at your last 100 posts (took about 10 seconds). All you seem to contribute to the forum is slander and little-to-no knowleged (FB or otherwise) delivered in tidy single sentence replies.

Good job Boss!

Let us know when you pull your head out of the sand.
