Always liked Forte. Excellent receiver as well.
Excellent blocker too. Does everything really really well...maybe not anything as fantastic as Lynch does power running and lacks a Dion Lewis or Shady explosiveness...but does it all. And a total professional with a Brady-like diet and workout regimen.

We can't spend big $$ as we have to pay Hightower, Collins and Butler and maybe Ryan and Ch. Jones too. Ridley would be cheap and again knows the system and is a different back than DL and White. Ivory would be fine too but he'll likely get big $$.

Ridley would be my least choice based on who's available he stinks at blocking and cannot catch a cold. Blount outplayed Ridley here if you don't remember.

Intriguing as an invite without big money (2.6 ypc prior to IR last season), but how many RBs will the Patriots carry?

Lewis
Devlin
White
Bolden
Blount/Blount replacement
Foster

Six seems like a high number
I question whether Lewis can return to his old self next season. Of course, I hope he can.

Lewis will likely be the guy who sees the majority of snaps so long as he is healthy.

My fervent hope is that they don't give Lewis anything approaching the majority of snaps. I'd love nothing more than to see him bubble wrapped until the playoffs. That will protect him while the leg gets stronger, while allowing him to contribute to the team.

He can serve as the RB2/RB3

Well between him and Dion Lewis splitting snaps you would think odds are one will be healthy for the playoffs and we can always find a JAG if he goes down.

Worth a look but all my energy is in Wether or not we can win this year's superbowl.

Ridley was solid but Blount was better except Blount is close to 30 and has a bad hip. Ridley should be a year removed from the ACL injury and can run up the middle. White and Lewis can do the rest. I don't mind him in the rotation.

Not only would he not have to talk, BB insists that you don't.

That would be heaven for Lynch.
I'm on to ___________. He even has a quote all set to go.

I want to see White and Lewis in the game at the same time, double back set with Gronk, Edelman and Amendola or another TE soooo bad next year.

You have wet dreams about the pony formation too?

Lots of Marshawn's talk in here, but I just don't see it happening.

Belichick wouldn't deal with an overslepping Jonas Gray. He's going to deal with Lynch and his antics?

Just can't see it.

LOL. What kind of energy are you expending? I'm sitting on my ass waiting several days for a game.

Talking about FA running backs is a pretty cool topic. Join in!

Didn't the Bears offer Greg Olsen to the Pats before Carolina got him?

I think they wanted a 2nd rounder.

Imagine Gronk and Olsen together.

He was avg 43 snaps a game. Would love to see that cut down to 28-32. 8-10 carries and rest on passing plays.

A lot of his antics are "don't want to deal with this." They're far less problematic than the "antics" of a Corey Dillon or something prior to coming to the Patriots, and that worked out well. In fact, the parallels are pretty solid there, with Lewis and White as the Faulk analogue.

No way he's leaving the Panthers.

Oh really? How about this....

Lynch guilty to reckless driving in DUI case

or this....

Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch being investigated by police

or even this....

Marshawn Lynch On the Scene After Drag Race ... Teammate Fred Jackson Crashes (UPDATE/PHOTOS)

Yeah thats farrrrr more than the "I don't want to deal with the media" baloney...

Dillion had none of the oversized baggage that Lynch carries, and saddest part is, that's just the more recent Marshawn stuff.

Again, not seeing this even close to becoming a pipe dream. I think Spikes was Belichick's last draw with the headcases. But hey, keep the faith alive if you want him here.
