So what was the point of Brady in this game at all? Everyone knew what the Dolphins defense was capable of, see Vernons hit on Mariota when they played the Titans. If the game plan was to hand off and run the ball, why the hell not let Jimmy do it?

They wanted to win. They wanted it all: both preserve the injured players as much as possible and also win the game. If Brady hadn't played, fans would be saying the Pats should never have sacrificed HFA.
