Is it getting harder to hate the Jets?

Hate on the Jets isn't really about the players. so we can respect the players and even the coaches (obviously depending on who they are and how they perform as people. i.e. we're ok with decent people and willing to throw extra dirt on those that aren't).

The hate is really between the bad blood history between the 2 franchises, the fans, and what they/we are willing to represent. It's a one sided rivalry from our perspective and has been since their guy, Mo Lewis, set us on our path to glory. Makes it all the sweeter. :D

I still hate the Jets, but Todd Bowles has been a respectful coach to this point, so yes--I probably don't quite hate them as much as I did with some other coaches like Parcells, Ryan, or Mangini.

LOOK! Up in the sky! It's a turd! It's a lame! It's...SCUMSLIME SPAMMY!...

Did the Pats ever get their 1st round pick back in 2008?

Did the Rats tamper with Bill Parcells as the Pats were preparing to play a Superbowl?

Did the Rats deserve the punishment they received from the league, regardless of them acting like the aggrieved party?

Did the Rats block BB from talking to the Pats about their HC position, while the Pats have always allowed their coaches to interview with other teams for promotions?

Have the Rats been given preferential treatment by the league since Goodell became Omissioner?

Do the Rats routinely use "the Pats do it too" as their defense when accused of wrongdoing?

Did Spygate COINCIDENTALLY happen to occur in Rats stadium the first season after Mike Kensil became Director of Game Operations under Goodell?

Did the Rats get away with tampering with Revis, and not only get the player, but also a slap on the wrist by the Omissioner, in contradiction of the precedent Goodell himself had established?

Have the Rats tampered with other Pats players, like Dion Branch?

Yes, I still despise the Rats, nothing is too bad for them.
Pretty much sums it up, right here.

And the sexually confused douchbag quoted above craaaaaves my attention, with his unprovoked, pathetic attempts at insulting me..

I do not direct anything at this pillowbiter, yet there he is..

He cares..

NO!

Just because there are less instances of instant comedy-gold or low-hanging joke-fruit does not make the franchise less putrid.

Yeah, despite their ratfink ways, they've never been good enough for hate. They're comedy relief.

As they get a non insane coach it's too late, since they paid beyond top dollar in guaranteed money for a carton of cornerback milk just as it hit it's expiration date.

Future Jets, no matter who the coach, are going to be like the dad with ten kids in front of the beautiful house trying to explain why they can only afford a two room apartment, as the Sheriff nails the eviction notice on the door.

The Green Beans aren't important to anyone but swamp vermin and are eminently hateable. Even God hates them and admits they were a mistake.

You are close, very close, to finding the true meaning of life.

You wouldn't think it would be possible to hate a football team that hasn't been relevant since The Smother Brothers were topping the television ratings, but somehow the jests have pulled it off

Give them credit for that

That's a nasty low blow even for you, Scumslime.
How does it feel being a flunkie toad for another toad??

If you start a fight take the bullets.. It is clear you two jackanapes are not capable of a civilized conversation so I am only giving you what you want..

Then you cry like a baby girl with a load of s--t in her diaper..

If people are civil with me I am civil back..

Despite finally having a coach I don't hate, it doesn't change a thing. Their owner and fans are still despicable as well as Sheldon Richardson.

I don't see how anyone can even "like" or "not dislike" any other team but your favorite team. I blame this on f#cking fantasy sports where fantasy geeks grew up rooting for players on other teams. I'm 41 and I first played fantasy football back in 89 or 90 and I drafted a ton of Rams players - Henry Ellard, Jim Everett, on offense. Mind you, we didn't have the fancy "Internets" to help us and tell us whom to draft - you used your head and thought for yourself.

At any rate there was one game in which a Rams loss would help the Pats and I found myself in a position of rooting for the Pats or for my fantasy team. Patriots easily won out. After that I was done. What was the point of fantasy sports if you can't root for your team 100% of the time?

How can you not "hate" the the NYJ? They're a division rival, they ratted on the Pats multiple times! How can you not dislike every team that is not your favorite team? Are there Patriots fans that actually "like" other teams? Like other players? That is ridiculous. It's all about the laundry. It drives me nuts when I see supposed Pats fan millennials or younger jerking off to "Megatron" or "Beast Mode".

I suspect many of the people on this board that "like" other teams or players are not from "the area" (I'm not saying "New England" because there are plenty of parts of NE where the Pats are not the #1 team: Giants in half of CT, Bills in northeast VT & NH, etc). I'm guessing these folks are the types who became Pats fans because Brady and Moss were good in Madden when they were 11 or 12...

These people have no idea what it's like playing as the Patriots in Madden 92 on Genesis!!!!!!

visited the gang green forum

some delusional people on that board. i believe i saw a tom brady/oj simpson comparison...

I'm with you 100%.

I played fantasy years ago and I found myself doing the same thing and it ruined it for me, so I stopped.

I always find it funny when I hear/see people say "they're my 2nd favorite team" - WTF? I don't get that... you have your team and that should be it. For me, if you aint NE, **** you and the horse you rode in on lol.

I also agree that region probably plays a role in this sort of behavior.

No Parcells, no Curtis Martin, no Mangini, no Rex Ryan, a head coach who preaches respect ... what the heck is going on out there?
Same fans
