I guess I am one of the few who believes that Revis did not have a dominant season in 2014. To me, it seemed that Revis performed exceptionally well when the Pats didn't need him and he often have up the big play when they did need him.
2014 Revis 37-78 532 16 PD 2TDs 2 INTs 47.4 comp % 67.9 QB rating
2015 Malcolm 36-68 586 11 PD 5TDs 1 INT 53 comp % 100.5 QB rating
Some observations:
-Revis was excellent last year. He was not good in Q1 vs BAL but was fine after that. He was very good vs Indy and very good vs SEA.
-Malcolm has been steadily improving. He is better than his numbers. I'd like to see him make more plays on the ball. That comes with time. If he had 6 picks he'd be right with Revis' 2014
-Financially, the Pats absolfreakinglutely made the right decision NOT paying Revis.
