If anyone seriously thinks, that after Deflategate, and after those ESPN and SI articles came out this week, with a national audience and tensions already running at an all-time high around the Patriots and "cheating", that the Patriots would go and deliberately pull a stunt like this (even if they could), they have to have their frigging head examined.

I mean, they'd have to know that if they really did this, and got found out, that the punishment would be so severe that the franchise would likely never recover.

It's complete lunacy.

Kettle, black, etc ...

So what’s the difference between that problem the Jets had in Pittsburgh, and the problem the Steelers had last night in New England? The biggest difference seems to be that the Jets didn’t accuse the Steelers of any wrongdoing, and Jets coach Rex Ryan said after the game that the communications issue wasn’t the reason the Jets lost the game. The Steelers haven’t been so accommodating toward the Patriots in the wake of last night’s loss.

Gotta give Rex credit for not being a whiner.

What I don't understand is how this happened. I read somewhere that the signals are encrypted. I guess they can't be if they're picking up radio broadcasts.... the NFL could solve this quickly with encrypted headsets. It won't prevent things from going down but it certainly would prevent any unauthorized signals or potential for "headset espionage".

The rain effected some wiring.

".........Sanchez said the headsets in Pittsburgh failed repeatedly.

“The problem was the headset kept going out multiple times during the game,” Sanchez said, “so I had to run over and get a couple calls, piece together some calls on the headset that came in broken up. It was one of those things we were fighting through. I was proud of our guys for trying to piece it together.”

The NFL needs to come down hard on Tomlin.

Breer is, or course, blaming the Patriots fans for the overreaction......

Aaron Bertrand @AaronBertrand
@AlbertBreer @RossTuckerNFL And it's funny how everybody is failing to mention that the headsets on both sidelines were affected.

Patriots fans are making a way bigger deal of this than anyone else is. Check my mentions for proof. #persecuted

No wonder people called them The Squealers.

Somewhere, Chris Carter called Tomlin and congratulate him on a job well done for making the headset as the "fall" guy.

Baltimore & Pittsburgh are like school yard bullies, love beating on the other kids but as soon as someone kicks them in the mouth back they piss & moan about it.

you can't reason with stupid.

read this nonsense.

I don't believe for one second the Patriots had headset troubles, not for one second - they have not earned the benefit of the doubt.... that's a cover story to the media.

I'm even more pissed. I hated the Patriots and that smug ******* Brady before, but....

First the headsets, then [illegally] simulating the snap count on a key GL series. Yeah, yeah yeah PIT had their chances and should have won, but still would have WITHOUT the cheating.

Graphic showing them yielding 0 4th qtr TDs last year means they're still cheating

yeah, fans really are fanatical ******s

agreed, but this is krafts fault. we'll hear these kinds of stories all season...
our gutless jellyfish owner should of never backed down.

national media doesnt even mention that the pats mics were all ****ed up. mike and mike basically ignoring that fact..so frustrating but what can you do.

I guess it's really true that the Patriots are "literally " in their opponent's "heads." LMAO

tomlin's a crybaby loser. hasn't won **** without cowhers players.

And this is exactly what I said when the recent stuff came out from SI and ESPN. The Myth of such cheating of playsheets and headsets is projected by Head Coaches as an excuse for losing to there GMs and owners. Tomlin sums up this mentality brilliantly.

  1. Last night:
  2. A
One coach texted me last nite, said his team's headsets were "staticky and went out for a couple plays last year" at Gillette. "Only there."

      Albert Breer retweeted James Stewart

Patriots will likely hear these complaints all year. Visiting teams now have license to raise concerns.

Patriots fans made Michaels and Collinsworth talk about it. Patriots fans made it a topic on the morning news shows. If it wasn't for defensive Patriots fans, no one would even talk about this.

What world does Breer live in?

....and they are laying eggs inside.....

I know we throw out the term sometimes but this is the ridiculous "controversy" that needs the official label of 'Cry-Gate'. Fits perfectly.
