Wilfork has 3 offers of 2 years 10 million????

Wouldn't mind seeing Wilfork in a Pats jersey.

I'm so confused. What about those 3 different $10M 2 year deals Vince has been offered?

Wilfork's weight appears to be at an all time high ... I keep saying this ...

The media is not touching it .... but that has to be scaring off teams including our own in terms of offer.
If I'm Wilfork I take my availability off the table ... work on the weight and conditioning and gamble that he will get a decent (better) offer in the summer when some get injured or retire right before camp.

A slimmed down Wilfork could be a once in a while penetrator as well as a space eater - he needs to get that body to be useful for this NFL ... not the NFL that existed when he was younger where there was more 3-4. I still think he is closer to 380 than he is to 350 ... he would look great at @330 or so.

Seriously if the weight is the issue and he needs to lose 50 OR MORE pounds, it's almost too late to start

Ted Washington at listed 375 LBs.

Agree with a few others, this is kind of sad. VW has been a damn hard worker, consistent, good character guy, easy to root for. But 5 mil per year for a very heavy, aging, largely one dimensional DT who did not appear to be a markedly disruptive presence in the middle?
If he comes back to the Patriots I'd be ok with incentives that make him much better paid if he is solid. Provide for one or two last hurrahs on the only team he will have played with in his entire career.

With that said the Patriots have a way of doing business that is successful. One of those ways is to not let emotions get in the way of business. VW's pay last year is no longer the pay VW will get(likely). If VW can come to grips with it and come back here for a much lower base with incentives? I'm all for it...

I hope Wilfork rides into the sunset after a storybook finish to his career in 2014. It's never going to be a better time. I doubt the Pats want to be put in the position of not offering Wilfork a contract, having already released him.

well so much for that earlier report. weird

Should be able to carve out a nice role for himself next to Watt and Clowney. That D-Line has the potential to be outstanding. Best of luck to you Vince! Thank you for 39, 49, and everything in between!

Best of luck, big guy. Thanks for your service, and I'm glad you're not a Colt!

He could stand to lose 100 pounds or so. Suprised they signed him. And NE plays them next year, I believe. In Texas.

BJ Raji the only decent option out there now.

Best of luck to Vince in Texas ... hope he has a healthy year.
I think this benefits us ... as HWC alluded to several posts earlier ..........

At this point, it looks likely that Clowney won't amount to anything in the NFL.

I'm still giving him a chance on talent alone, but he's definitely gone from being the next sure fire thing to a 50/50 proposition at best.

I didn't even realize how bad it had gotten, but...

NFL draft insider Tony Pauline has heard from a "number of people" that there is "serious concern" about Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney's surgically repaired knee.

Pauline cites "numerous sources, including those close to the Texans" when cautioning to "not expect much" from Clowney in 2015. "He may struggle to ever regain full health from the microfracture surgery," Pauline writes. As of late January, Clowney could bear no weight on his knee. He also had the knee scoped before his microfracture, in addition to sports hernia surgery last June.
