Still gotta go with Connolly, lineman catching TD's happens every now and then, a lineman almost getting a kickoff return for a TD is a once in the lifetime moment.
Easy vote. Connolly just kept rambling and rambling. It's one thing for a trick play to happen in an open space over a short area (Solder), but what Connolly did just defies physics.
Connolly for the reasons previously stated, and also for the personal reason that it cheered me up after one of the most depressing weeks of my life. (Cleaning out my late parents' apartment; they had died in separate ways 2 days apart about 6 weeks prior.)
Obviously is Dan Connolly...but I had to hand the vote over to Nate Solder, due to their TD celebration...just seeing all of the linemen celebrate together, in the endzone, just added something to it...gotta love that
Solder's TD was a brilliantly timed and executed play. It was 10 yards longer than what'd you think would be the upper limit of an tackle-eligible TD pass play, but you can watch it and make sense of why it happened as it did.
Connolly's KO return makes no sense. Every time I see it I come away with no real idea how he made it down to the 4. By all standard laws of football and physics the play went on some 60 yards and 10 seconds longer than it had any right to.
